From the 6th of May, we will also be trading out of Fitness Republic Merrylands @ 241 Pitt St, Merrylands. ... The FITREP crew have been so accommodating in allowing us to share in their vision to provide the best gym and staff services paired with allied health services. 19.01.2022 CUPPING THERAPY Cupping is considered a form of therapy predominantly used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. However that being said, other ancient civilisations have used this technique since 1550 B.C. such as the Egyptians and Greeks. It involves a cup being placed on the skin creating suction via flame or vacuum pump. This is believed to remove toxins, aid in blood flow and reduce muscular tension (swipe right) ... Whilst high quality research papers are hard to find, it can't be denied the layers of the muscle, fascia and skin are lifted as blood is drawn to the surface (marks may remain for up to 10 days). Similarly to deep pressure point and massage therapy, this theoretically would release muscular tension and promote pain relief locally via inflammatory changes and systemically via changes to the nervous system. As Dr. Todorovic transitions to the 'Our Medical Home' at Gregory Hills Town Centre, our team will be making the move to 'My Family Health Medical Centre' starting from the 6th of May. We would like to thank Dr. Todorovic and reception staff Alex for all their help this past year.
