23.01.2022 Do you celebrate Father’s Day? In Australia, Father’s Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of September. On this day we celebrate the love and dedication of fathers, step-fathers, guardians, fathers-in-law, uncles and grandfathers and thank them for being our teacher, carer, friend and role model. * Can you say the word ‘father’ in another language? Father is ‘père’ in French, ‘papa’ in Russian, ‘ojciec’ in Polish, ‘vader’ in Dutch, ‘vater’ in German and ‘padre’ in both Ita...lian and Spanish. * There are over 4.6 million fathers in Australia. * The traditional flower of Father’s Day is a rose. Red roses are for living fathers and white roses are for fathers who have died. * Father’s Day became a popular celebration during World War II, when many fathers were away at war. * It’s not just fathers who are celebrated, Japan has a National Children’s Day called ‘Kodomo no Hi’. * During the 1920s and 1930s it was suggested that Mother’s Day and Father’s Day should be combined to form a Parent’s Day. Do you think this is a good idea? * Every year, Australians spend about $1.36 billion on Mother’s Day and $660 million on Father’s Day! * Did you know that it is the father seahorse that carries the eggs and gives birth to the babies? 23.01.2022 Do you celebrate Halloween? Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats.

17.01.2022 I AM TERRIFIED OF ANSWERING THE PHONE. WHAT IF I DON'T UNDERSTAND THEM? WHAT IF THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND ME? SOUNDS FAMILIAR? I’ll share a secret with you, but don’t tell anyone. 10.01.2022 She’ll be apples, mate! Everything is fine, all is well. Australian English often uses the feminine pronoun she where standard English would use it. For example, instead of 'it’ll be right' Australians say ‘she’ll be right’. She's apples was originally rhyming slang - apple and spice or apple and rice for 'nice'. The phrase has now lost all connection with its rhyming slang origin. First recorded in the 1920s the term can still be heard today. https://youtu.be/mGrCg689kpg

нужно использовать option или choice We have two options. I didn’t have another choice. My watch is not very accurate. The test results are accurate in 99% of cases. Keep the receipt, so you can return it if you don't like it. Например, если на вопрос Hi, how are you?, вы скажете Hi, I’m normal, то у вас, вместо У меня все нормально получится Привет, я нормальный человек, а совсем не псих.
