24.01.2022 Dear respected ANMC members, It has been a very painful situation to everyone because of COVID-19 pandemics. The virus has spread almost over 120 countries with approx. 160,000 confirmed cases and almost 6,000 deaths. Almost everyone in those countries is directly or indirectly affected by the virus. Numbers of confirmed cases and deaths have been in rise in Australia too. As a precautionary measure the government has announced that all non-essential gatherings of 500 or more... people have been prohibited from Monday, the 16th of March. As you know ANMC was preparing for its Election and AGM scheduled to be held on 28th and 29th of March, venues for the events were also booked accordingly. We must abide by the government directives and unfortunately we are not able to proceed with the planned Election and AGM. Therefore, the online meeting of the Executive Committee of ANMC held on 15/03/2020 has decided to postpone its upcoming Election and AGM until further notice. In addition the meeting also discussed its roles under current ability and urgency of immediate works to be done in ANMC. In the midst of current uncertainty, the meeting decided not to stay idle in care taker mode but working in its full capacity until the AGM. As soon as the prohibition is lifted, we will announce suitable dates for the events. ANMC Apologizes to all respected members for any inconvenience caused due to this. If your, your family members or someone you know are missing in the list, please get them to send email with their detail and some kind of proof of their membership so that we can include them in the list. If you have made false claim and your name included in the list, your name might be removed from the list. 04.01.2022 Respected ANMC members, The executive committee held an online meeting on 28th of February. The meeting included Election Commission head Shree Prasad Pant and majority of ExCom members. The meeting decided to postpone the upcoming AGM and Election for another 2 weeks in respect to the sitting VP Mahendra Karki whose wife demised on 26th of February. Now the election (If required) of new ExCom will be held on 28th of March and the AGM will be on 29th. Actually we all (the en...tire ANMC family) are mourning the untimely demise of Mrs Karki. We hope members will understand the circumstances and request to be with Mr Karki and his family during these difficult days. May the departed soul Rest In Peace. Thank you ! On behalf of ANMC I would like to update you all couple of below things;... * Because of operational issue in outlook email dedicated to Secretary, a personal email was used to communicate with the members, now a dedicated email [email protected] has been registered to community with the members. Please do not communicate in previously provided email. Any personal information sent to the personal email will be permanently deleted once entered into ANMC database. The email will appear with cover of ANMC Members. * The current ExCom will go into caretaker mode from first of March. * Settlement of 100 Duncans Lane Diggers Rest has been planned for 28th of February. The vendor will remain in the house as a tenant for another month agreement has been already signed. * Election of new leadership will happen on 14th of March (Venue to be advised). 5 member Election commission has been formed under the leadership of Shree Prasad Pant. * Election schedule etc. will be published by the commission. * Voters list will be published soon and will have until COB Wednesday to claim on the list (daabi birodh) if we did not hear back from you until the day, final voters list will be published on the same day. We cannot include any name in voter list after final list. * We still do not have necessary information (phone number and/or email) of all members to communicate with them, if you know anyone has not received ANMC related updates, please get them to send necessary information to above email ASAP. * Please note the ANMC will hold its AGM on 15th of March from 11:00am to 3:00pm at 281 Darebin Road, Thornbury.
