This happy and positive public service announcement is to announce another one of ...our legends has hit the Ton Hands together team for Centurion #39 - Diana Mulholland. As sponsors of Newmarket Football club, we love it when one of their members becomes a member with us. Diana is one awesome soccer mum. Since day one with us, Diana has gotten into our workouts and always smashes through her training with a smile on her face and a high five as she breezes back out the door (high fives currently replaced with elbow taps) As a member of our hardcore 5:45am crew, Diana knows how to come in, roll the sleeves up and get this done. We are pleased to announce Diana as our next century maker as she has pipped her partner to this post and we have all enjoyed the good hearted banter between them@as they both forged toward the . Congrats Diana - legendary effort and still smiling well past the 100 visits as well. 05.01.2022 A big thank you to all; 35s, juniors, and seniors who came down to the club last week with your donations. With such a generous amount donated these were rush...ed to the Olla Franca distribution centre and gratefully received for the students. Second chance to donate for those that couldnt make it down to the club last week, I will be there accepting donations from 11am to 1pm this Saturday. The clubhouse wont be open, nor possible to congregate but a chance to visit and admire the grass. Why #PlayForLives As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are a whole lot of international students and migrants in Australia at present, who have no means and need our urgent help. Olla Franca is coordinating emergency food relief for over 600 of the students. Craig Foster recognises the contribution that club football, and Newmarket, can make when the need is urgent. Many of these students are stranded in Australia with little or no means of generating income as the service industries they typically work in are closed. As international students they also, unfortunately, fall outside of the governments assistance programs, leaving them extremely vulnerable. Olla Franca. Brisbane
