18.01.2022 So very excited tonight to announce that Year 12 student Arnika Riesenweber has taken out the prestigious Minister's Choice Award at the annual NT EXIT ART exhibition! Her extraordinary work "Bauxite Dragon" was selected from 55 exhibits to be added to the Minister's Collection! Are we proud? You bet we are!!! Arnika and her family were at the Art Gallery of the Northern Territory to accept this award this evening. Congratulations! Stay tuned for more details!!

16.01.2022 Colin ‘Snogga’ Snowden On behalf of Nhulunbuy High School staff, students and families I extend my deepest sympathy to Ali, Jye, Koby and Mahlia, as they farewell their father and husband, Colin ‘Snogga’ Snowden today. Colin was a strong supporter of our school over many years. As our local fire chief he participated in our Boys Nights each year and led many of our students in rugby union. ... In 2015 he was an integral parent member of our Over the Top Tour. He will be sorely missed. 04.01.2022 Another moment of pride and awe for us at Nhulunbuy High School! We are thrilled to congratulate three particular 2020 Year 12 students on their enormously successful results in their Essential English courses Jessie Dargaville, Ellie Phillips and Max Mander. These three students have taken out the top 3 Essential English marks in the Northern Territory. Jessie Dargaville achieves the top mark Territory wide and the only A+ with a final subject score of 14.5/15. Next, ...Ellie Phillips, who has pulled through a final subject score of 14.3/15, receives one of only two A’s awarded in the Territory. And Max Mander brings home the second A grade, with a final subject score of 13.6/15. These students must be congratulated, not only for their outstanding results, but for their consistent dedication and tenacity. They’ve definitely earned their holidays!
