20.01.2022 QR CODE SCANNING There have been a couple of questions about the QR code scanning so here is a little more information. The QR code can be accessed via the website > news: https://www.parkrun.com.au/noosa/news/ ... There you will find the code and also a link immediately above it https://www.parkrun.com/trace/mf3 You can either scan the QR code using the camera setting on your phone or clicking the link. Both options will take you to a form where you complete your name and contact details.

18.01.2022 As we get closer to our restart this Saturday please take the time to read the following. Being prepared will help make our event run smoothly. As part of our requirement to reopen parkrun in Queensland, we are required to display a unique QR code for contact tracing purposes. Please could all participants, spectators and volunteers scan this code each week either at the event or using this upload from facebook or our website. Each event has a unique QR code and the followi...ng image is the code specific to Noosa parkrun only. Thank you for being part of a successful return to parkrun. We can’t wait to see you all bright and early Saturday morning. PS: we haven’t been able to do anything about the hill - it is still there

15.01.2022 Good evening everyone. With regard to the Brisbane lockdown imposed today, this is to clarify that the parkrun event for tomorrow is still going ahead at Noosa, Likewise they are all going ahead at the other Sunshine coast parkruns. However, we continue to monitor for any further advice from the Qld Health or parkrun HQ. Please check this page before coming in just in case there is a change. MOST IMPORTANTLY we need anyone that wishes to come and participate to make sure they... follow all the Queensland health directives. This includes if you have been in any Brisbane City Council, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Ipswich City Council, Logan City Council and Redland City Council areas to get a test and isolate. DO NOT COME. You will also need to follow all the usual parkrun COVID framework rules we have had in place since recommencing like signing in to the QR tracing code. We do have a full roster of volunteers so by way of appreciation please make sure you follow any directions or guidance given by volunteers, this is for the safety of us all. If you are unsure if you should be attending stay at home to be safe. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please be sensible and be safe. If you're attending be as vigilant as possible and maintain hand hygiene and social distancing. Cheers Sarah

15.01.2022 First parkrun back post-Covid. Fantastic event, thank you volunteers and everyone who took part

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, not long now! During the next couple of weeks there will be various communications to get you up to speed with parkrun post-covid. I’d like to acknowledge how much work has gone into this by parkrun HQ and believe that if we follow their guidelines we will be in the very best position to continue uninterrupted. Also, it is with grateful thanks to our Run Directors and key volunteers that the process to re-start Noosa parkrun is underway. Whilst there has been ...every endeavour to ensure parkrun is as near to pre-covid normal as possible, there are inevitably some small changes to how things will be on the day. There will likely be the need for a couple of additional volunteers as well as some slight changes to the existing roles. This will be new for all of us so please be patient and obliging with the volunteers who are learning as they go. Our usual group of experienced volunteers have all put their hands up for the first several weeks as we learn at Noosa, this will be particularly helpful as numbers increase over the holidays. We do still need volunteers so as Deb puts a call out please consider helping and learning there is nothing scary, honest! Deb’s mobile is 0429 841 948 If you have volunteered in the past and used the Virtual Volunteer App, this has been updated to an even better amazing system, so please check that you have the latest version, re-load if necessary. It looks slightly different so you will know. You will see the parkrun code as well as the new parkrun covid codes, these will also be available on the day That’s all for now! Keep tuned in, find your barcode, give it a polish and dust off the running shoes See you soon Cheers Sarah See more

02.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you are all as excited as I am to return to our beloved parkrun in the morning. In order to comply with the permissions we have obtained from the School, Council and Health Departments there are a few small changes to bear in mind which I think you will agree all amount to common sense - Please enter parkrun through the main gates (start line) where you will find laminated copies of the contact tracing QR code available for scanning Please use this ma...in entrance and the one route to the toilets from the start area so there is no unnecessary wandering around the school grounds. The Gazebo & table and hanging storage will be removed please keep personal items in your car or feel free to leave them near the start line Briefing will be held where there is more space a little further down the hill from the start line, please respect social distancing during the briefing Finish chute we will lengthen the finish chute so that every participant takes a token as they finish the run please take a token whether or not you intend to scan it please proceed directly to the scanning volunteers and present your printed barcode and finish token for scanning. Please then drop your finish token in the tub on the table (where it will be sanitised) Take one route to toilets and sanitise before entering Selfie frames get a volunteer to hold the frame for you Deb Walz is continuing as our volunteer coordinator (thank you Deb) please message Deb any time you’d like to volunteer (0429 841 948) BYO water bottle to save using bubblers DFYB (Don’t forget your barcode ) Please let me know if I've missed anything obvious (very possible) or you have questions about the procedures, Cheers, Sarah
