Its size puts it towards the smaller end of our fleet but for what it lacks in size it makes up for in stamina.... Make sure you wear enclosed shoes for your ride behind this dynamo!

20.01.2022 In consultation with the Blacktown City Council staff that manage Nurragingy Reserve we have decided that we will refrain from the use of steam locomotives at Sunday's opening. This is due to this week's weather conditions, the dry conditions in the reserve itself and a state of emergency being in place until Monday for the state. Despite this change, plans remain on track for Sunday. https://www.nsw.gov.au//premier-declares-state-of-emerge/

17.01.2022 With a break in the rain and a lifting in restrictions NWME Inc club members met on site to work on the construction of the Railway. The final stages of work are being done on the southern loop.

17.01.2022 In 2020, with financial support from Blacktown City Council, funds from the My Community Project Grant and our own funds, we will move forward with construction of the railway on the other side of the level crossing. Those funding sources will be put towards the variety of projects that will take Nurragingy Miniature Railway from a loop through the trees to a more complete railway experience with a longer operating track and typical railway infrastructure. However, those funds will be exhausted before all that is planned is completed, which means there is still the opportunity for you to contribute to the construction phase through our supporter program. Starting at $25 for a track sleeper, more information can be found at https://nwme.org.au/support Looking forward to a big year, hope you can join us along the way!

06.01.2022 Nurragingy Reserve is set to be completely open over this weekend so we are set to be running trains. Bring a raincoat to stay dry as umbrellas are highly undesirable to have in use while riding the train. Our thoughts go to those who have been impacted by the bushfires across NSW. We will be donating $500 from ticket sales to the Blacktown City Council Bushfire Appeal from each of the two January running days (Sunday 19th and Sunday 26th) https://www.blacktown.nsw.gov.au//Blacktown-City-Council-B
