25.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 25th October: O God, whose Son has taught us that love is the fulfilment of your law: stir up within us the fire of Holy Spirit,... and pour into our hearts your greatest gift of love, so that we may love you with our whole being, and our neighbours as ourselves; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen See more

24.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 22nd November: God of power and love, who raised your Son Jesus from death to life, resplendent in glory to rule over all creation:... free the world to rejoice in his peace, to glory in his justice, and to live in his love. Unite the human race in Jesus Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen See more

23.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 13th September: O God, you call your Church to witness that in Christ we are reconciled to you:... help us so to proclaim the good news of your love, that all who hear it may turn to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. See more

23.01.2022 Matthew 21: 23-32. Jesus is confronted by the religious leaders demanding to know where he gets his authority. He responds with another parable highlighting that although they talk a big talk, they are not walking the walk of faith.

23.01.2022 There is no doubt that Paul's advice to the ancient Philippians resonates with life in 2020...

22.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who ordered bulbs during our fundraiser earlier this year. The money raised contributed to the much needed upgrade of the church's power box.

20.01.2022 The Green Eyed Monster!

19.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 27th September: Grant, O merciful God, that your people may have that mind that was in Christ Jesus, who emptied himself, and took the form of a servant,... and in humility became obedient even to death. For you have highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, Jesus Christ, the Lord; who lives and reigns with you the Holy Spirit, one God, in everlasting glory. Amen. 19.01.2022 Last week we heard about God's miraculous parting of the sea to rescue his people... This week in chapter 16 we find that it didn't take long for them to forget this in favour of reminiscing about Egypt through rose coloured glasses. How does God respond? By providing all his people need to survive their time travelling through the wilderness to the Promised Land. Quail in the evening and manna in the morning. What has God provided you with to get you through your wilderness time?

18.01.2022 This week's Gospel reading is another of Jesus' parables used to describe God's kingdom. This time we hear of God's generous love unbound from Earthly hierarchies

18.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 11th October: Saving and healing God, you have promised that those who have died with Christ shall live with him:... grant us grace to be continually thankful for all you have done for us, and in that thankfulness to be eager to serve and live for others, so that we and all your children may rejoice in your salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen See more

17.01.2022 Over the last couple of months, we have followed the journey of Moses from his birth, the great rescue of God's people from slavery and their wandering through the desert. This week, we hear of Moses' death. Deuteronomy chapter 34 tells us that he died at 120 years young after looking out at the land that God had promised to His people

17.01.2022 In this week's Gospel reading, Jesus responds to his critics with some bold statements about two hot topics... Read with us to discover what he had to say about them.

17.01.2022 Back in Exodus, God gave Moses 10 commandments for His people. Over the years, people added more and more. In Matthew 22 some religious leaders tried to trip Jesus up by asking which one is the most important. Here's what he said..

15.01.2022 Our deeds don't earn us God's salvation but once saved, we should strive to live a life worthy of the Good News of Christ.

14.01.2022 Are you properly dressed for the kings banquet?

13.01.2022 Exodus 17 verses 1-7: Those Israelites are at it again... Grumbling despite all the mind blowing miracles they have witnessed on their behalf. Once again, God works through Moses to provide what is needed () in a most unusual way ()

10.01.2022 God's Perspective!

10.01.2022 This forgiveness thing can be hard at times. In our Gospel reading this week. Jesus reminds us that although it may not feel like it, what we have to forgive in others is a drop in the ocean compared to what God has already forgiven in us.

09.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 4th October: Almighty God, your Son Jesus was the stone rejected by the builders, and, by your doing, he has been made the chief cornerstone:... grant that, by the power of his Spirit working in us, we may become living stones built up into your dwelling place, a temple holy and acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. See more

09.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 20th September: Loving and righteous God, your boundless generosity exceeds all that we can desire or deserve,... and you give to the last worker all you promised to the first: liberate us from all jealousy and greed, that we may be free to love and serve others, and in your service may find our true reward; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. See more

09.01.2022 A prayer for Sunday 18th October: Almighty and everlasting God, in Christ you have revealed your glory among the nations: grant that your Church throughout the world... may persevere with steadfast faith in proclaiming the cross to be the way that leads to life eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen See more

09.01.2022 A little more food for thought about this week's kingdom story. (See Matthew 20: 1-16)

08.01.2022 A snippet from our New Testament reading this week. Join us in reading from 1 Thessalonians Chapter 2 verses 1-13

08.01.2022 This week we start reading through the First letter to the church in Thessalonica - aka 1 Thessalonians - from Paul and his friends Silas and Timothy. Join us over the next few weeks as we explore what God had to say to them and what it means for us.

06.01.2022 Paul and Timothy wrote a letter to the early Christians in Philippi describing how to live life together. These words are just as needed today as they were way back when... We are told our attitude should be the same as that of Christ. So what was his attitude? verse 6-11 tells us all we need to know.

01.01.2022 More words from Paul's letter to the Philippians that ring true for life in 2020

01.01.2022 This week's gospel reading comes from Matthew chapter 25 verses 31-46. Jesus talks about sheep and goats then goes on to explain the eternal impact of our treatment of the most vulnerable, most needy, most neglected in our community and across the world.
