23.01.2022 Time to get some jelly in your belly! At this morning's kitchen coaching session, my lovely friend Bronwyn and I were chatting about how great healthy jellies and gummies are for kids. You can pack in almost any combination of fresh fruits and vegetables. Anything that I'd put in a fruit/vegetable smoothie, I'd put into gummies. Healing spices like turmeric, and omega-3 packed seeds like chia are also great additions. ... Plus, organic gelatin contains collagen and amino acids which boost the health of your skin, nails, teeth, joints and hair. It's also considered to reduce cellulite and wrinkles! In our house, we usually make up one batch of gummies each week, cut them up into little squares or shapes and enjoy them at any time of the day. If you add more liquid, you can also make jelly to eat with a spoon. Our little girl Zara loves anything in jelly form and to be honest, so do I! So, this post is dedicated to you Bronwyn Gordon! Eating a range of fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin C may be protective against some types of cancer, heart disease and stroke.... Consuming citrus fibre may help to reduce blood cholesterol levels. Including citrus fruits in your diet can help to improve iron absorption due to the Vitamin C and citric acid content. So, this may help to protect against anaemia. Consuming lemons may help to prevent digestive health issues due to the soluble fibre content, mainly the pectin. Soluble fibre is considered to help improve gut health, as well as to slow the digestion of starches and sugars, which can help to reduce blood sugar levels.
