23.01.2022 We just gave $35 to the SPANA charity that helps starving donkeys and other hardworking animals around the world. $35 will help vaccinate 7 donkeys against deadly tetanus when the donkeys are working in rubbish dumps or hauling water around the world. Seemed to us like a good thing to do approaching Christmas. Note: We did some checking and can see SPANA does not have tax deductible gift recipient status in Australia, but does have an Australian office, is ABN registered and is a registered charity with Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We decided not to let the lack of a tax deduction stop us from giving. Pay it forward.

03.01.2022 The Dog Shed Grooming School near Perth has 3 spots available for January 2018 intake. International students welcome (some previous students have come from Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico and Japan). Only 2 - 4 students per course to ensure 'one on one' training in order that a high level of skill is reached for each student. Course runs for 3 weeks - hands on intensive training and full support provided on return home. Accommodation and train transfers free, just pitch in for your food or buy your own is fine. Very friendly and animals abound atmosphere.
