There'll be a community event space, Central Park and Amphitheatre, A magnificent waterpark & adventure playground, A new primary school for Northern Beaches, A Village Centre with shops, restaurants, bars, etc It will create more than 200 jobs during construction and 300 + upon completion. It's expected to attract more than 95,000 new visitors each year and inject $ 34 Million into the economy annually once complete. 16.01.2022 Don’t forget this Sunday all the action of the 2020 IRONMAN Cairns Asia Pacific Championship will be happening! Good Luck to those participating! For spectators and residents, please remember there will be road closures and changed traffic conditions to be aware of. Find the info you need at https://www.ironman.com/im-cairns-course The bike course has been modified this year, with a new turnaround point just south of Trezise Road, instead of in Port Douglas near the Wildlife Habitat. This will allow for the Captain Cook Highway to be opened earlier this year, from 3.30pm on Sunday. Please note: the Smithfield Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday 27 September Have a great weekend!
