23.01.2022 Ballet at Peppermint Ballet is a graceful style of dancing that requires strength, flexibility, balance and artistry. We are proud to offer ballet classes for students aged 2+ years, with the choice of recreational or AICD syllabus classes. Our competition students benefit from diligently attending ballet technique classes each week, in addition to their jazz technique and competition team classes. Our recreational ballet classes are the perfect introduction to the technical ...aspects of ballet in a fun and engaging class environment, and our AICD syllabus students benefit from working in smaller classes that are strongly focussed on the development of technique, artistry and discipline. Participation in examinations is optional, but highly recommended, for all Peppermint ballet students. Our students will sit their AICD examinations in October this year and have been very dedicated to their ballet training despite the disruptions they have experienced this year. In 2020 we are offering sixteen ballet classes each week! Our acro teachers are all incredibly experienced and promote the safe development of flexibility, strength, tumbling and balancing. Our small class sizes mean that students have the undivided attention of their teacher and can confidently develop their acrobatic skills in an energetic and supportive environment. Our competition students are required to take at least one ballet technique and one jazz technique class per week. In these classes students can work on their alignment, control, strength and flexibility so that they can achieve beautifully controlled lines during the choreography and learn the technical skills that can be incorporated into a routine. Many of our students also enjoy add...itional acrobatics or tumbling technique classes, which further increase upper body strength and control during floor work, and allow for creative routine transitions. Our technique classes are open to both recreational and competition students.
