12.01.2022 LYMPHATICS AND THE SPINAL FLUSH The Spinal Flush is simple and effective, and one of my favourite techniques for releasing toxins in the lymphatic system. It is taught in many different modalities, including Touch for Health Kinesiology and Eden Energy Systems. The spinal flush works by stimulating the neurolymphatic reflex points along the spine. Firm pressure along these points helps the lymphatic system flush out toxins that have accumulated there (be they chemical, emoti...onal, or stagnant energies). Since the lymphatic system doesn't flow like the circulatory system, it must be cleared via body movement, like exercise or massage/stretching. **A Spinal Flush grounds you, reduces stress and helps clear brain fog. It helps the lymphatic system release toxins and moves the lymphatic fluid, keeping it flowing and clear.** It contains lymph fluid, and creates antibodies, white blood cells, and lymphocytes to keep your immune system functioning, and is responsible for keeping the balance of the body fluids. Given it's important jobs it is important to keep it running smoothly! PERFORMING THE SPINAL FLUSH This needs two people to perform it and will be done standing. The lucky person having the spine flushed stands facing the wall, leaning gently against it. The person doing the flush starts at the base of the neck and, using both hands, one on either side of the spine, gently but firmly presses down the length of it. Some spots may be tender, so you can give those spots a bit more attention. It's best to do this 2 or 3 times, although once will sufficient if you are in a rush. When you finish, then run your hands lightly down either side of the spine in a "flushing" or "sweeping" movement, again 2 or 3 times, to clear off any stagnant energy. That is it! Simple, straightforward and fabulous for your lymphatic system! For me, it's great done before bed as it's relaxing and can help you sleep better.

To begin with you can help strengthen it with zinc and magnesium supplements. Taken daily, these will support your immune system and help your body fight off illness. It’s also important to keep your Spleen meridian, which governs your body’s immunity, strong and clear. Using acupressure, you can hold the Spleen strengthening points to help keep your Spleen... meridian functioning at its best. Start with the first strengthening points on each each side of the body (meridians run on both sides of the body), holding them lightly for about a minute. Then move to the second strengthening points. Again, these are on each side of the body, and these should be held for about 30 secs. In today’s high stress world, most people have chronically weak Spleen meridians, so regular strengthening is a good idea. 06.01.2022 Good vibrations... and Crazy Eights Everything is composed of energy. Energy that swirls, loops, and figure 8s over and over again. This pattern is embedded within us; from the helix of our DNA to the hemispheres of our brain. Energies crossing over maintains our balance and health in life. While seeing a kinesiologist can identify and correct where your body’s energies aren’t crossing (for instance, people with depression are generally homolateral - their energies run paral...lel and don’t cross over), there are techniques you can do daily to help keep yourself humming. Perhaps the most fun, and common, are Figure 8s. Such is the power of Figure 8s (sometimes called Tibetan Eights) that they have been around for millennia. Figure 8s promote healing and keep your energies flowing correctly. Today they are used to help people with learning difficulties and dyslexia. They encourage the two hemispheres of the brain to cross their energies over - left controls right side and vice versa. Activate the energies of 8 in your life and integrate both hemispheres of your brain... ~ Dance! You can shake your hips & trace 8s in the air around your body. Using both sides your body activates both sides of brain. ~ If you have children, have them pretend to be an elephant and using their arms as a trunk, figure 8 around them. ~ Pretend to be Zorro and using alternate hands, sword fight around your body in 8s (older kids really like this one!). ~ Draw super hero masks around your eyes in a figure 8 - using one hand and then the other. Done regularly, Figure 8s will help you relax, clear your mind, strengthen and harmonize your energies.
