25.01.2022 What a morning, a very elderly lady maybe 80, had conked out on the hill getting onto Canning hwy from the Freeway and traffic was banked up for about 200mtrs. I pulled into the space between the turns and ran back to help, one other guy did the same. We pushed it off the road, got her started again, he drove back into traffic as I assisted her slowly through the sand back to her car. Her words of appreciation and genuine "thanks so much boys" was heart felt and real.... Nothing can beat self respect, no matter how the rest of the day goes, this has been a good one. Couple of thoughts came to me during this, what were the 40 cars behind her thinking or not thinking as they sat there waiting for the issue to mysteriously fix itself before we got there? What were the people who pulled out and drove around her, thinking or more evidently not thinking? Would any of them be reflecting on their involvement or lack in the situation now? I admit as I drove 10 cars past in the lane next to her I looked back in the mirrors and thought "what can I do to help really" and then within that split second I knew that I didnt know that answer, but I also wouldn't find it out just sitting in my chair and continuing on to work either. It feels good to help other people in need or just in general, give it a go today, do something, anything for someone else, you may be surprised in the result personally ;)

12.01.2022 So very sad, all these people that from the outside and societies measure have it all. Loved their music, really struck a chord and glad I got to see them once live. Sad to think the struggles some face are too large in comparison to the life they live. If any of my family or friends ever think it's getting that bad or too much, please reach out to me, please let me know I will be there for you and we can get through it together.
