22.01.2022 Sunshine in a Jar - that’s what I fondly call PetalDew’s Blissful Balm - a must have reliable companion to show some TLC during anytime of the year specially during summer! This one product does many things - 1. Spot treatment: can be used to minimise minor skin irritation including dry, cracked skin, sunburn, minor cuts and scrapes.... 2. Face Moisturiser: Unlike many balms available in the market our Blissful Balm is non- greasy and is quickly absorbed onto your skin leaving a matt finish. The skin feels supple and soft throughout the day. 3. Taming your eyebrows: Apply to sooth the skin area after shaping or threading your eyebrows. 4. Overnight mask: If you have sensitive or very dry skin, massage a pea size amount combined with PetalDew’s Face Oil Serum for extra hydration and protection. 5. I personally use Blissful Balm to sooth my skin from sun burn and after sun exposure. Summer can be very harsh in Oz and Blissful Balm is a must have when your are out and about. Last weekend was a beach day out and the younglings wanted to pluck fresh Aloe vera and prepare fresh cooling gel infused with rose petals and tulsi leaves. They came up with the idea on what plants to use from the garden to make the cooling gel. 02.01.2022 Skin and hair strengthening vegan Beet and Matcha milk Strong & healthy skin is the result of healthy diet + regular exercise routine + healthy habits + adequate sleep + consistent skincare routine. As we are all gearing up for Summer in Oz, I chose few specific ingredients for this recipe which acts as a defence against UV damage to skin. ... Here is a very light and refreshing vegan milk recipe that offers powerful support for a healthy skin and hair. I would like to briefly talk about the ingredients I have used to make this vegan milk. Soaked Macadamia nuts : Macadamia nuts are a rich source of Monounsaturated fats (good fats our body needs) & is high in Palmitoleic acid, which is a building block lipid of the skin. As an antioxidant, it also protects cell lipids from UV damage. When young our skin has adequate amount of Palmitoleic acid but as we age, the level decreases. 100 grams of macadamia nuts has 330 mg of potassium and 95 mg of magnesium. A good magnesium level in our body reduces stress & anxiety level and relaxes muscles. Soaked blanched peanuts: Peanuts are from legume family and is a good source of vitamin B7 or biotin. Biotin offers powerful support for hair and nails and is essential for healthy metabolism. Beet powder: Beet powder offers natural sweetness to this drink & is a good source of vitamin K. Vitamin K strengthens blood vessels to reduce dark circles and helps in preventing varicose veins. Beta - carotene in beets protects our skin against UV damage. Premium Matcha powder: High grade matcha powder offers smoothess and creaminess to this milk. Matcha is naturally high in Catechins & Chlorophyll.
