"Kalkajaka - Mountain of Death" is a project conceived by the demented minds of co-authors Barry Brady & Ian B. MacLeod under the nom de plume - Brady Styles. Although inspired by real events, this novel is a work of fiction. All central characters are creations of the authors' imaginations and in no way reflect on any persons living or dead. Located in far North Queensland, 25 kilometres south of Cooktown, lies the black mountain known as Kalkajaka. Steeped heavily in Aboriginal Dream Time legends, this mysterious area has been associated with extraordinary stories and grim tragedy. During the past 100 years, humans, horses and cattle have wandered into the vicinity of the black mountain and vanished without a trace. Disappearances which, to this day, remain unexplained.

However, 30 years or so later & after still hearing the occasional DJ play one of our records & then comment, "Where are NEW WORLD now?... In jail I think,"... I decided to tell my story. 09.01.2022 We welcome yet another great Aussie artist to the Pinewood label. John Robson started his career as an entertainer in those heady days of the 50's appearing on such shows as "Six O'Clock Rock", "The Tonight Show", "Sing, Sing, Sing" & Roy Acuff's "Grand Ole Opry Show" which was filmed by Ch 9 in Sydney. Throughout the ensuing decades he worked full time on the Club scene until his retirement in early 2016. But worry not if you missed hearing the warm, velvet tones of John Robson as we have re-released two of his great albums - "About Loving You", & "Easy Listening".
