23.01.2022 Drop in Quickfee Rates makes paying your accounting bill easier. Poole Group have offered Quickfee as an option for clients to pay their accounting bills over the last number of years. Quickfee allows clients to pay off the bill over a 3, 6, 9 or 12 month period. With the Covid19 pandemic we would encourage clients to consider this option. In light of the current difficulties QuickFee have recently announced a temporary reduction of their existing interest rates. The rate red...uctions also pertain to any outstanding loans created before this decision, with the lower rate applied to the next instalment amount. These reduced interest rates will be applicable, at this stage, until 30th June 2020. If you receive an email from our staff which doesnt have our @poolegroup.com.au as the extension please question the invoice with us, call us on 07 5437 9900. Some emails are hard to see the real name. But if you move your mouse over the friendly name you should be able to see the full email address of the sender. Sophisticated fraudsters can fake the entire name to look like a legitimate sender, so be careful. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your accountant.

08.01.2022 COVID-19 scam: requesting bank account details for the JobKeeper payment The Australian Tax Office (ATO) is receiving reports of scammers pretending to be from the ATO calling members of the public and asking them to provide their bank account details. They are telling them that their employer has registered them for the JobKeeper Payment, but that the ATO needs their bank account details to deposit the funds into their account. Do not provide the information requested. Emplo...yees that are eligible for JobKeeper payments will be paid by their employer and the ATO will reimburse their employer for these payments. The ATO does not need the bank account details of individual employees. If you are not sure whether an ATO call is legitimate, hang up and phone the ATO on 1800 008 540 to check. 06.01.2022 Recent changes to superannuation legislation now makes it easier for people over the age of 65 to make contributions to superannuation. From 1st July 2020, you no longer need to meet the work test or work test exemption criteria if you are 65 or 66 years old in order to contribute money into superannuation.
