25.01.2022 I am pleased to announce that with the easing of restrictions, we can restart our 10am 2pm Cruises starting this Saturday 16th May. We will be limited to 10 passengers plus crew social distancing of 1.5 m will apply. Call Rachel or Christina on 0400 933 112 bookings essential

24.01.2022 Unfortunately we need a clearance of 10 feet for the Rubeena to pass under the bridge so todays cruises are canceled we are not taking bookings for tomorrow but will assess situation at 8.30am tomorrow and post decision

21.01.2022 It is with great regret that I advise that the Rubeena will cease operations as of today. This decision has not been easy, particularly with business down bec...ause of the bush fires and now the Coronavirus. Unfortunately the size of our business is such that there is no support for loss of revenue. We were planning to celebrate Rubeenas 108th birthday on 4th of April, dependent on duration of shut we may not see her 109th. Thank to all our 23,500 passengers over the past 7 years. The ticket price of $25 per passenger will be donated to Central Gippsland health and Rotary Community Projects. 07.01.2022 Take a break in Gippsland... Like a lot of small business operators, my friend Alan Lewis had a disrupted 2020 but he hasn’t wasted his time. Alan refurbished E...MV Rubeena during the COVID lockdown and the historic electric vessel is looking magnificent. The Rubeena does river cruises from the Port of Sale which takes in the Swing Bridge and picturesque Latrobe River wetlands. This little vessel is quite an historic treasure trove... it was first registered in Lakes Entrance in 1912 and was based at Lake Tyers before being relocated to Sale. By all accounts, it is the oldest boat on the Victorian boating register and has remained in continuous survey throughout its long life.
