21.01.2022 Our team on Kangaroo Island have had a challenging few days with raging bushfires overtaking two thirds of the Island & claiming the lives of two locals who were friends of our team. Yesterday they helped deliver supplies of bottled water to the evacuation centre on KI which was donated by Qantaslink. Our team have continued on despite all the pain & overwhelm of the situation. We are so proud of our KGC Team!

12.01.2022 It’s Day 3 of Airport Safety Week - AUS and NZ & it’s all about Foreign Object Debris (FOD)! FOD at airports has the potential to cause damage to Aircraft Engines, Ground Service Equipment, Employees and Passengers and in turn can have a devastating effect on safety. It can include a wide range of material, including loose hardware, catering supplies, building materials, rocks, sand, pieces of luggage, and even wildlife. FOD may be found anywhere in the airport environment. Damage may be caused through direct contact with aircraft, such as tires, engines, or even injuring personnel through jet blast. Today our teams all participated in FOD Walks around their Airports. Well done everyone! #ASW2020 #SafetyFirstFamilyFeel

12.01.2022 We are pleased to advise that our KGC Team are safe and well after a horrendous night with the Bushfire Emergency on Kangaroo Island. Kingscote Airport came under direct threat during the night and Emergency Services and ADF moved inside the terminal for protection. Thankfully, there was no damage to the Airport infrastructure and KGC Airport has re-opened for RPT operations and the re-commencement of fire-bombing operations. QantasLink again loaded the back hold of their M...EL and ADL flights today with more supplies of water, toilet paper, amenity kits and ration packs for the Kangaroo Island community and Emergency Services personnel. There is still a long road ahead for the residents of Kangaroo Island and we will continue support our KGC Team over the coming days, weeks and months.
