18.01.2022 Hi Everybody, I hope you are all safe and healthy during this crazy time. It has been a huge week for all of us and now more than ever we will need to be there for one another. Mastermind Playground is currently still open however changes have been put in place. You’ll receive a detailed email later today in regards to this. Mastermind Playground will now finish term 1 on Friday 27th March and reopen again on Tuesday 21st April. A make-up lesson will be available in term 2.... It’s always hard this time of year to say goodbye but I know every child who has come through Masterminds has had an education like no other. 16.01.2022 PRE-PREP PROGRAM + EDUCATIONAL PLAYGROUP Hi Everybody, I am really looking forward to another amazing term. ... Term 2 starts back on Tuesday 17th April and finishes on Friday 29th June. Due to the high demand of the pre-prep program another class on Tuesday at 1pm has been created. Only 2 spots are left available for this class and 1 spot is available on Thursday/Friday at 9.30am. The small group classes have no more than 6 children and opened from Tuesday to Friday during the school term. The pre-prep program is a school readiness program and was established in 2011. It develops early literacy, language, numeracy as well as fine motor and writing skills. It’s full of fun, educational and multi-sensory activities children just love. The children develop confidence and a love for learning as well as gain the tools needed for school the following year. Our other awesome educational playgroup program which only opened this year is filling up very quickly. We only have 5 spots left available. The educational playgroup program is an exciting new program which also caters for children two years prior to school. It’s a beautiful program that is full of multi-sensory activities that develop children’s knowledge, language, early literacy, numeracy, creativity and fine motor. The program is full of exciting experiences children love to participate in. The program is a lot of fun and children develop the tools needed to move into pre-prep. It’s such a happy, peaceful place full of engaging activities including art & craft. Children have the opportunity to build their confidence, beautiful relationships and a love for learning. 06.01.2022 Hi Everybody, Thank you all for a wonderful term 1. It was lovely to see the children settle in very quickly and it was great to watch the children build beautiful friendships as well as develop their language, early literacy, numeracy and fine motor skills this term.... We also celebrated a lot of birthdays in term 1. A big congratulations to Fleur, Branson, Johnny, Chad, Kyrus and Boston. We also have Franky, Harry, Louis and Cooper’s birthday during the holidays. Wishing you all a beautiful day. Due to COVID-19 we will begin term 2 classes online. I’ve been working around the clock to get organised and for this to happen. You’ll just love the resources I have created for all the children. I’ll be using ‘zoom’ so if you’re not familiar with this please do let me know and we can connect and walk through it together. From Tuesday 14th April Friday 17th April I’ll be jumping on zoom for 15mins at 9.30am to say hi and to run through everything in regards to term 2. Please do come and join me so I know everyone is able to connect and join the class for the following week. The children will still have the opportunity to see and interact with their friends online. Remember this is only temporary and the online learning will be very exciting in the meantime. Next week I also plan to connect with each of you individually over the phone just to touch base prior to term 2 starting. The classes start back on Tuesday 21st April. I’m also working on the Educational toy library to be up online for term 2. I’m very excited about this!!! 05.01.2022 Hi Everybody, Thank you for another great term. It was an interesting term that no one saw coming. It certainly is a term that no one will forget. COVID-19 hit in March 2020 and changed the way we lived our lives. The uncertainty grew and the panic buying began. Many people lost their jobs and still have no work today. Many businesses had to close. The borders were shut down and it was the beginning of something we’ve never experienced before. The pandemic hit and it hit ha...rd. Mastermind Playground didn’t escape this either. It too was impacted by the Coronavirus. The resource packs were rolled out and the on-line classes began. I was very excited to try something new. All the children had the opportunity to participate. Most children adapted very quickly others took some time. When we eventually started back here at Masterminds it was so lovely to see all the children once again. I am truly blessed to do what I do so thank you for the support during this period. COVID-19 has brought with it many challenges but also many opportunities. For me, it has created so much more. I now have the opportunity to work with children in remote areas or with sick children who don’t have access to attend classes like Masterminds. I can now reach these children through my on-line classes. During lock down I have also worked very hard and been blessed to turn a passion of love for children’s resources into reality and very excited to finally be able to share it with all of you. In term 3 you all have access to the on-line Educational Toy Library full of amazing games that children love. The on-line Educational Toy Library will be available in week 2 of term 3. I will send a link for you all to explore in week 1. The library will be available only to my current clients at a 50% discount and next year will be available to the broader community. I’m so very grateful and proud of the result and happy that families can now access it. Among all the chaos, we did get to celebrate Harrison, Aurora and Elise’s birthdays. One they will surely remember. Thank you all once again for being so supportive this term. Enjoy this break and I look forward to seeing you all in term 3 which starts back on the 14th July.
