20.01.2022 So you have taken a break from squats because of lower back pain. It has been 4 weeks, you try barbell squats again...IT'S STILL PAINFUL! Sometimes rest is not the answer - actually, rest is never the answer. The answer is activity modification. Once we modify activity, we can then train the body to accept load again. Kettlebells are great because they are easier to control than barbells. Get assessed!

20.01.2022 Shoulder pain can be a very complex issue. There are many muscles that attach onto the shoulder and many other structures that surround the area. It is important to not box your pain into your condition. Your condition does not dictate your pain. Some can have shoulder bursitis and will never feel pain whereas some may feel a lot of pain due to factors such as deconditioning If you are ever in doubt, seek a physio's advice. 14.01.2022 COVID UPDATE (again) - we are open! We know, it sucks! Unfortunately, there are a few suburbs that are experiencing lockdown for the next 4 weeks - don't worry, we feel ya! GOOD NEWS! You can still attend physiotherapy and remedial/myotherapy appts if you need to as it is deemed NECESSARY and considered CARE if you are suffering from pain and injuries.For those in lockdown areas, you are also still able to come as well :) ... BAD NEWS! For those in lockdown areas, unfortunately you will not be able to attend our reformer classes. Please give us a call if you are in those areas, and we will be able to suspend your classes. 12.01.2022 A dead lift, when done correctly, is a great exercise to promote strength through our lower limbs. Lower back pain with deadlift is NOT normal, and if you experience this, then the best option is to seek a physios assessment and advice to see where the pain source is coming from. Always ensure that the moment is driven from the hips, rather than your lower back. Make sure to keep the core and glutes tight as these will provide you with stability! ...
