22.01.2022 This year at Prime Dental we have held two morning tea fund raisers for Cancer - Biggest Morning Tea for Breast Cancer and Daffodil Appeal Day. Both staff & patients supported these events enthusiastically. In total we raised $470 for Cancer Council Australia and we at Prime Dental are happy that we could support both these causes as cancer touches so many people in different ways.

19.01.2022 Hi! I’m Dr William Dimento, but everyone knows me as Will. I have been visiting Tasmania for the past ten years but can now call Hobart home. I love the lifestyle and friendly atmosphere, I never fail to find someone friendly when I’m out and about. You can find me at any of the popular brunch spots on the weekend with my fiancé Lauren and our cheeky puppy Maisie. Together we have been exploring the national parks and trails, staying in our bright yellow camper. Our most memo...rable trip so far has been to the Bay of Fires, although Cradle Mountain was also magical. At home I’m always trying to develop my handy man skills. Having purchased our first house in 2018, I am forever spending my weekends completing small renovations and tending to the yard. I love the accomplishment of learning, carrying out, and finishing improvement jobs. This tends to transfer across from the work that I do as a dentist, the satisfied feeling I get when I am able to help somebody and the pride in the details when it comes to doing a great job. When not outside I love to research old cars and motorcycles, and watch cult classic movies. Last year I made the decision to move to Hobart from my home town of Brisbane. My colleagues kindly recommended Dr Jim Rushton and Dr Kevin McGregor as an excellent place to start looking for a new dental practice to call home. The rest is history. There really is nothing like the welcoming and family feeling they have cultured here at the practice. Whether you are an existing patient here at Prime, or are looking for a new dental clinic I would love to meet you and your family. My goal is to provide personalised dental care to patients at any stage of life and to change perceptions about what it means to visit the dentist. So, come and say hi! I hope to see you soon.

06.01.2022 Dr. Jim and his partner Sandra travelled 20,000 kms along the Silk Road from Tbilisi in Georgia to Beijing in China from April to August 2019. We travelled through many ancient lands and famous historic towns such as Samarkand, Bokhara, Bishkek and Xi’an in China. We crossed over high mountain passes and through several deserts on our journey. We did a mix of camping and budget hotels, even staying with the nomads in their yurts in Kyrgyzstan, and camped next to an old sec...tion of the Great Wall in China . People were often in their traditional forms of dress, particularly out of the towns and cities. I was always interested in dental care along the route, seeking out local dental practices whenever feasible. I even came across a Prime Dental practice in Bishkek!! Some highlights include the golden smile of our waitress in Khiva in Uzbekistan! People were so friendly along the route, always interested in where we were from and what it was like to live in Australia. See more
