22.01.2022 Every morning I try to have my breakfast outdoors, and on days off, lunch too! Its some nice screen-free time to enjoy the sunshine and now that its spring, everythings blooming and I am all motivated to do some gardening. I was totally blown away when Jay quickly whipped up these stuffed mushrooms the other day and brought them out to me while I was sitting out in the garden. 18.01.2022 It's been a rough week. A lot of clients have cancelled or postponed their cleaning services. We understand of course., these times are tough for everyone and precautions need to be taken. But we've been so overwhelmed by the kindness and support from clients. Some have expressed solidarity and promised to pick up cleaning again when things have calmed down. And some have kept payments going, despite being trapped overseas, for credits towards future cleans, because they wan...t to support small business during these tough times. 17.01.2022 This is Rex. Were fostering Rex while his forever home gets ready. Rex has had a tough time. Hes been locked in a carport, fenced in by a wrought iron gate (last photo). For his first 7 years he just watched the world go by. Hes very overweight and flies have eaten the tips of his ears. Rex was slow to warm up at first, he didnt want to go outside because he wasnt sure if he would be let back in. We couldnt get him to go on a dog bed because he was so used to sleeping o...n the hard concrete floor. Now Rex is very happy in his new home. He loves his new bed, he has a friend in our pup Chihiro and his ears are healing nicely. He luuurrrves head scratches and hes not afraid to ask for them. Were very happy to have Rex in our home. Hes a gentle giant and a good boi. 12.01.2022 The thing with being at home more is that I'm prone to take on another "project" Jay is always shaking his head at the weird stuff I come up with, like the time I borrowed a friend's truck to drag home a 3m tall dead tree branch (I spent hours looking for the perfect one). After a big exercise to 'plant' it in plaster, it now sits pride of place in my dressing room, raising eyebrows when people come over (it's seriously huge) and acting as a literal 'jewellery tree' . ...I've been hanging out on this ottoman for most of the day, flicking through magazines and listening to music under my tree. 10.01.2022 So we posted over on Adopt a Healthcare Worker Western Australia that for any healthcare worker, or even struggling small business owner we would do a free clean. Because, you know, terrible global emergency, and we got an overwhelming response from people wanting to sponsor a clean for someone else or wanting to take us up on our offer. One lovely lady wanted to sponsor a clean for a healthcare worker she hadnt even met. Shed just adopted her through the group Today we d...id a clean for Aprel whos swamped with studying to be a dental surgeon and having the kids home from school. Organised by her mum whos a nurse. Its so nice to, hopefully, have a positive effect, even just by helping someone clean and organise their house. Its so nice as well to see peoples generosity and community spirit at a time like this. Still tough times ahead but well be trying to support and participate in our community in a way that we can be proud of when all this is over. Jay and Satya

What I probably DON'T say often enough is that working side by side with my best friend is one of the biggest joys and privileges of my life. It is one of the many reasons I love what I do, and more often than not it doesn't feel like a 'job' at all. While most of our clients speak to me, Danielle or Adele when they get... in touch, Jay has really worked wonders behind the scenes to get our little business to where it is today. Our recent offering of free cleans to healthcare workers when Covid first hit was 100% Jay's brainchild; not some marketing ploy but borne from his genuine desire to give back to our beloved community. The response was amazing; we did dozens of free cleans, Pay It Forward cleans and Pay What You Feel cleans for healthcare workers all over Perth. I felt so proud to call Jay my partner in business and life. He's pretty camera shy but here is a sneaky pic of Jay during a recent Pottery Day we hosted. It was so much fun to share our pottery addiction with friends, and everyone also got to feast on the amazing spread Jay put on. OMG the food he makes.. 09.01.2022 All this talk about plastic bags has got us thinking. How can we do more to reduce waste? Were already big on eating fresh, healthy locally sourced food and weve found that cutting out processed foods has cut out a lot of unnecessary packaging. So its win win! Some of the biggest household waste offenders are bathroom and cleaning products. We found that Castille soap can replace a lot of your bathroom "essentials which means far less disposable packaging, especially if ...you buy in bulk. Well also be releasing our own range of homemade cleaning products in the next month. We already use eco-friendly products but are always looking for ways to reduce our ecological footprint and make our business more sustainable. 05.01.2022 Jay and I are in love with our weekly pottery classes Jay likes to work on the wheel, I like to build by hand. Its still such a thrill to start with a lump of clay and end up with bowls, cups and plates that we now use every day! 04.01.2022 We loved checking out some beautiful homes for @openhouseperth over the weekend Many of the owners are clients of ours so some homes we already knew quite well, but there were plenty of hidden gems we had never seen or heard of before! I just love how much the event has grown over the years. I am definitely a self-confessed design buff but my favourite part is always talking to the owners themselves about how the build came about and what they love about their homes. I of...ten find the same thing after the house has been freshly cleaned; you can really fall in love with your sanctuary all over again! 03.01.2022 Kicking off the long weekend with a beautiful sunset over our creek. Rex the foster dog braved the dropping temperature to have a quick dip - turns out he loves water! Even though he is now at a much healthier weight, his gait and posture show that there has been a lot of pressure on his joints for most of his life. We think swimming must give him some welcome relief. Hes also had his vet check now and has been given a clean bill of health. Life is good! 02.01.2022 Hi all COVID-19 is affecting us all at the moment. Western Australia remains relatively low risk for person to person infection but cases are likely to continue increasing by around 50% each day. Obviously theres a huge amount of coverage and we really think that if people keep doing the right thing, the spread of this disease can be minimised as much as possible. ... What are we doing? Were on high alert and keeping our ears and eyes open for any signs of people who are at risk in our community. If any of our staff or clients have travelled, come into contact with someone who has travelled or come into contact with someone who is sick, well be temporarily suspending their cleaning services, to avoid potential spread of COVID-19. We are providing our staff with hand sanitiser and masks, for them to use as they feel the need. Do I need special cleaning? Infectious disease experts have advised that no special cleaning products are required during this outbreak. Soap and water are recommended as they bind with particles, which can then be washed away. In the absence of detergent, alcohol based sanitisers are effective, but overuse can contribute to the strengthening of viral strains. We will continue using the same eco-friendly cleaning products as they continue to be effective. If you would like us to use any different or stronger products or would like to book in a deeper clean, please get in touch. This outbreak is affecting businesses and individuals in a big way at the moment and its likely to get worse before it gets better. Today Spain went into full lockdown and there is a chance that Australia will do the same. We will be staying up to date on news and official guidelines and make updates as the situation changes.
