However, when it comes to writing a strong application, carefully selected text that clearly articulates your strengths and experience is imperative. That’s why this client contacted the team at Public Service Resumes. Whilst the client had worked in senior executive roles, a much-wanted career change was just not happening, and after reviewing ...the client’s resume, we could see why. Not only did this client have an extremely hard to read resume with bulk lots of text and undesirable font, but there was also no substance to the information it contained. Focusing only on broad responsibilities of each role, the client’s true level of expertise and skills they could bring to their next role was being missed. To help the client to prepare for their consultation, the Writer provided a detailed emailing coaching the client on how to focus on some key achievements and their strengths. They also requested that the client complete one of our information forms so as to gain further insight and a clearer picture of the client as a professional. During the consultation, the Writer asked the client some open-ended and targeted questions in order to gain the information needed to put together a stand-out resume. It was a direct result of the Writer’s care and attention to detail that resulted in the client absolutely loving their resume transformation. The Writer spent time really getting to know the client and was able to reflect that perfectly in the resume, along with their many achievements and strengths.

05.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY For most of us, submitting an application for that ideal role can be extremely stressful. That was certainly the case for this client who engaged our services for a professional resume and four selection criteria points. Having heard conflicting advice about the format of resumes and what to include in an application, the client was seeking some professional advice and a strong set of documents that would increase their chances of getting to the interview... stage. This client had quite an outdated resume that was not highlighting their strengths nor their capacity to perform in a new role. Wanting to take a more achievements-based approach. The Writer had the client consider some of the more major accomplishments from each of their rols. This equipped her with the content to provide a clear Situation, Action and Outcome for each one whilst integrating the expertise and knowledge the client used to facilitate each result. For the selection criteria, there were specific guided questions to answer and using her high-level skills, the Writer coached the client in providing succinct STAR examples. This allowed her to provide detailed responses that clearly met the requirements of demonstrating the client’s experience in line with the role. As a result of the professionalism and quality work provided, the client was very happy with the final documents, and appreciative of the support and being able to take the stress out of the process!
