23.01.2022 Businesses in the area have been very supportive of the club in response to the devastating arson attack on our changerooms complex in January. Such support means we have some awesome prizes to use for a MEGA RAFFLE. We thank all the businesses for their support and for showing true community spirit.

22.01.2022 After the devastation of the arson attack on our change room complex in January finally we are back home at our beloved Power Park. Not only did we suffer because of the attack but due to the prolonged wet season we only trained at our oval last week for the first time this year. Last Sunday our juniors played at home for the first time this season. On Saturday our Mens Reserves Team will finally get to unfurl their 2018 premiership flag.... We thank all of our club members and supporters, local and Cairns based businesses and the wonderful Cairns football community for helping us through these challenging times. Confucius said Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

20.01.2022 Pyramid Power AFL is deeply sadden that one of our long time players Riley West and his Dad Lincoln suffered the unimaginable recently when their home was destroyed by fire. They lost their home, car, motorbikes, all of their belongings, everything. Despite being insured their insurance company has found some fine print loophole not to pay them anything! Obviously Lincoln is devastated however he is directing all his energy into getting a basic new home built allowing him and... Riley to get their lives back on track. Lincoln and Riley are just the most wonderful people and my heart is absolutely breaking at hearing this awful news. Lincoln is a wonderfully generous hard working man. He would be the first one to be there to help a mate or even a total stranger in need. So we are asking people to consider helping him in his time of need. Friends have set up a Go Fund Me page if anyone is able to contribute. Please feel free to share details of this page to your friends. All donations will help. The link to the page is https://www.gofundme.com/f/1oitko07c0 They need building materials and goods to build and fit out their home. Anyone living in FNQ is asked what you may have that could help them (e.g. doors, windows, electrical items, plumbing items, flooring, tiles, paint, bathroom or kitchen fittings, light fittings, fans, electrical goods big or small, furniture, soft furnishings). If you have or know someone that has something they could donate please email the club on [email protected] and I will pass it along.

19.01.2022 Just a reminder that the club will hold it's Annual General Meeting on Sunday. We need local people to become involved and help us move forward.

10.01.2022 It is with great shock and sadness that our club acknowledges the passing of Gordon Pogorzelski. ''Gordo'' was an amazing selfless volunteer in our early years who was our inaugural under 14 boys coach and one of our tireless BBQ extraordinaires and generally helped where he could. He loved his AFL and took great pride of watching our Pyramid Power Juniors weave their magic on the footy field. He was so proud of his club as we were of Gordo and we express our sincere sympathy to his family and friends. R.I.P. Gordo

04.01.2022 A bit of history - In 2009 Power Park was built and Pyramid Power finally had somewhere to call home. In the first couple of seasons we had no buildings whatsoever. We hosted junior games running a canteen in an borrowed army tent and having to have use two portaloos. We were so excited when we finally got our colourbond shed. Then after 7 years using portaloos our change rooms complex was built and finally we had something to be proud of. I just wonder how many other cl...ubs have come from such humble beginnings. Note - You might recognise the U12 player in the photograph as our current men's reserve team captain.
