24.01.2022 Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, our office hours will be changing as of Monday 20th April. 20.01.2022 Since the restrictions have been lifted on Elective surgery we are allowed to do 25% of our case load prior to COVID. Today was the 1st list in 4 weeks. As you can see hand washing and use of PPE is everyday life for us. Please wash your hands, keep the distance and remember that the medical profession needs PPE everyday to protect themselves.

The type of anaesthetic greatly affects the recovery after surgery. Awake anaesthetic reduces peri operative opioid consumption and has been shown to have accelerated recovery. 16.01.2022 If you have recurrent failure of your ACL RECON or have ruptured your ACL with minimal trauma - you should read this post and watch the video attached . I saw a patient today referred to me with a right knee ACL RUPTURE - sustained by stepping off a step ladder and felt a pop in his knee. He was seen at the public hospital and put on the waiting list for ACL RECON. He is sick of waiting so came and saw me privately- he had a history of left knee ACL x 2 and the second hamstr...ing recon has failed as well. He has instability and pain in both knees . However he has resigned himself to the fact that nothing can be done about the left. He wants the right fixed. Obviously something is causing this recurrent ACL compromise I got bilateral long leg lateral of the tibias Right - 11deg posterior slope Left - 13deg posterior slope I m sharing a talk I gave on this topic in a webinar series -
