24.01.2022 The four stages of competence: 1. Unconscious incompetence: we dont know what we dont know. 2. Conscious incompetence: we know what we dont know. 3. Conscious competence: we know what we know. 4. Unconscious competence: we do it without even thinking.... This video brings me a lot of joy. It took us a while to get there and just before she did it she said Mummy, my brain really hurts and Im confused. I said Thats because youre about to learn something new that youve never done before. And off she went! And when she realised I was watching she fell over...

22.01.2022 My daughter is sponsoring a girl with the exact same age as her, they will write to each other. Such an amazing organisation that can teach all of us so much about the world and the inequalities we suffer

11.01.2022 A good one for today!

10.01.2022 How often do you step out of your comfort zone? Of course, during this pandemic we have all- in some way- had to involuntarily step into unknown territory, whether its coping with losing a job, upskilling very quickly, educating kids at home, or learning to create our own imaginative ways of entertainment.. Stepping out of your comfort zone is scary, so why do it?... its how we grow and learn its a way to positively embrace change its a way to discover new strengths and oppprtunities we might never experience otherwise I have done this a lot in the past couple of years: sold practically everything to do a huge trip around Europe moved to Australia from the UK started new jobs and study .. and many more things. These are all pretty major and it hasnt been easy. There have been some unexpected events, but thats life. Ive certainly learnt a lot and grown as a person. What have you done to move out of your comfort zone and what was the result? Image rights: brainboostedshop.com

09.01.2022 This resonates so well with me.. what would you add to the list? I think I would add procrastination!

09.01.2022 This book appeared on my desk at school today. No idea how it got there! Im wondering if someone is trying to tell me something just before the school holidays begin

08.01.2022 Taken from a friends post and too good not to share!

08.01.2022 Back to school tomorrow.. This reminds me of my job as a coach and a teacher and how important it is to do both at the same time!

08.01.2022 Ive just started my 4th coaching Diploma with the Australian Institute of Professional Coaches in Health, Wellness and Vitality. This is an exciting one! Usually for personal trainers, Ive got the opportunity to study it myself and Im loving finding out more about how to work on fitness goals and nutrition. My client and friend Amanda Harte is doing an amazing job of keeping up with the assignments! Thank you for helping me Amanda :) xx www.professionalcoachtraining.com.au

07.01.2022 Some great links here for talking to children and breaking down some myths.

02.01.2022 This is so true. It really puts things into perspective.. and when those ages talk to each other its even better .

01.01.2022 Its been a long listen but so worth it. This is the third time Ive read this book and it speaks so much to me. I get more from it each time. Habit 1: Be proactive Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind Habit 3: Put first things first Habit 4: Think win-win... Habit 5: Seek first to understand then to be understood Habit 6: Synergize Habit 7: Sharpen the saw Some are difficult to realize without reading the book. Now to start working on these properly!

01.01.2022 If you havent read any Brene Brown do it now! Daring Greatly and The Power of Vulnerability are my absolute favourites She makes so much sense to me
