17.01.2022 So super proud of these six members of The Legacy & Co’s varsity crew, INFAMOUS!! When lockdown happened, flying up to Brisbane to compete at the incredible HHI competition seemed taken away from us. However thanks to @hhiaustralia made it possible for us to participate as we had followed all competition deadlines to compete in the hope that circumstances would change and that we wouldn’t have to cancel all our Brisbane bookings. Even though we couldn’t fly up, we worked trem...endously hard within the limitations that is Melbourne (no dancing allowed inside right now if not an educational institute and keep in mind it is winter) and got to work filming our submissions over the weekend. Having placed 7th out of 21 crews at the semis (which also blew us away that we had even achieved this) we then made a 7am Sunday morning happen outside to film for the finals that day which resulted in us holding 7th overall which we are so happy about. To see our video played to the auditorium and have us represent VIC was and is so special to us. The sense of achievement was overwhelming and support on the insta live comments felt like the crowd cheering when on stage. I am so proud of each of these dancers for not hesitating at the opportunity as well as their super-supportive families. Team work makes the dream work that’s for sure! This will forever be a positive memory for us all during a crazy time in Melbourne. But most of all the joy that was able to be felt by all six dancers knowing they were seen, recognised and valued instead of spending a whole weekend watching an event unfold and knowing that they missed out. 06.01.2022 Super proud of these three superstars at Jump Dance Challenge repping The Legacy & Co. Not only for being recognised, 1st - Jamese, 2nd - Sienna, 3rd - Chiara but for being so supportive of each other. This is their first time performing since Feb last year and first time actually watching these solos on stage. Just so great to watch them shine and be so highly recognised for their talents! Jamese also receiving the fourth highest score for the evening section and 3rd in the Championship round alongside talented lyrical dancers!! So happy to see how much this recognition meant to her!! Huge thank you to everyone there to support and Jump Dance Challenge for creating this opportunity to perform and have dance joy back in our lives
04.01.2022 Reflecting on the time we went overseas to represent Australia in January THIS year! Miss this!! What an incredible experience to take a team to compete in the USA, after winning the Australian Nationals and then going in to place third overall in a very tough international section. Super proud of everyone in this group representing Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar and team name Vengeance. Thank you for getting on board on how I like to train, all day, every day, with breaks of ...course Love when hard work pays off and when discipline shows results!! Will never forget the happiness when we found out we placed 2nd at the semi’s, those reactions were priceless and can only be earned through being your very best. Beyond grateful to be part of the Lowther community after all these years, what a school! Huge thanks to AASCF for the platform and the opportunity!! See more
