25.01.2022 MEET A DINOSAUR! Erths widely acclaimed show, Erth's Dinosaur Zoo, is coming to Newman on Saturday 10 August 2019 and takes audiences into a new dimension of theatre. Meet awesome prehistoric creatures, from cute baby dinos to some of the largest carnivores and herbivores that have ever walked the planet! Erths dinosaurs are unmistakably alive and mostly friendly in this fun, educational and unique performance.... 3 weeks till you can see them!

25.01.2022 How amazing to be in Newman this weekend in August!!!! We have Dinosaurs and Paw Patrol heading to town! Get on down to the Parnawarri Shopping Centre and meet the best and favourite Paw Patrol crew before you see the Dinosaurs! ... Newman get ready for another fun eventful weekend!

22.01.2022 Red Desert Events held their AGM this morning and although we had a good turn out we weren’t able to fill the essential positions to continue on with this great committee. As a result, unfortunately the Beach Playhouse is unable to operate until a committee is formed. Along with running the Beach Playhouse, Red Desert Events also run the local Markets, International Women’s Day function, the Fresco Veggie Deliveries, Outback Beef sales and hire of different function equipmen...t. These awesome Newman events are at risk of not being able to go ahead and the Beach will remain closed if we aren’t able to get a committee up and running. We will try again for an AGM on Sunday 11th August, 3pm at the Beach Playhouse. Please come along and consider stepping up to ensure that this great committee can continue to serve our community.

21.01.2022 Apologies to people who showed up today and no one was available! A late change in time due to current / outgoing committee not being available. Plus with the soccer presentations ect today the Committee felt a midweek meeting time might be a better choice

17.01.2022 How cool was that!! Amazing work Newman! This was My last event for Red Desert Events and it sure was a good one to leave the committee and as Coordinator. ... Make sure you keep purchasing tickets and attending these wonderful events that the small committee groups put on for our town, if no one goes the shows don’t come. A fair amount of Volunteers and unpaid hours goes in to these shows by everyone involved (some also drag the kids along for set up of events) Don’t forget if posting your Pictures on Social Media of the Dino show use these Hashtags and get people talking about our 2x 300 people shows! #countryartswa #erthdino

13.01.2022 Thank you to everyone for their support of The Red Desert Events International Women’s Day celebrations last night. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Congratulations to all of our nominations, you should all be proud of yourselves and the commitment you make to our great town. I would like to acknowledge that there was an omission in last nights formalities and unfortunately one of our amazing nominees were missed from the announcements. Deanne Manson was also nominated ...for her contribution to the community and specifically Newman BMX and her support of Newman T ball. Dedicating hours of her time and showing her support through Chicken Treat doesn’t go unnoticed and we are so grateful and lucky to have her in Newman. Please accept my heartfelt apology, Dee for missing you off the running sheet If you see Dee around please congratulate her. We would also like to thank the people that contributed to the set up, running and pack down of the event: Newman Hotel - Isaac and team for your absolutely amazing help all night, you guys were so kind and helpful Michael Hill Innaloo for the winners prize BHP for the financial support with bringing our guest speaker up to Newman Bliss Beauty, Heart and Home WA, Newman Visitors Centre, Soap Bush Soaps and Cellarbrations- for your generous gift hampers Sports Power and Blackwoods - for the door prizes IGA - Jane for your amazing food DJ Viv for your wicked tunes Kingdom Party House for the photo set up Desert Blooms for the gorgeous centre pieces To Our Junior staff, Allie, Mikaela, Ella and Chloe, for their help setting up, clearing tables and serving food all night and with the massive clean up To our trusty Bus Driver - Vaughan Malins for making sure our ladies got home safely and helping all weekend with set up, shopping, collecting and basically being at our beck and call all weekend And to our committee for the weeks of planning and countless hours of preparation to make sure the event went well Anyone wanting to join our committee to help with the organising of next years event please let us know. 11.01.2022 NOTICE We will now be taking 50% from payment of invoices on delivery or collection of Hire. we will be strictly inforcing the 48hour policy and you will be charge a 10% daily rate of your invoice ... no Hire will be given out until a invoice has been sighted and hire is Confirmed! hire needs to be returned to the venue you collected it from. This will be happening effective immediately. We have had several cases of hire not returned, not return in the same state it got sent, and Red Desert Events having to chase up hire 2 weeks later. Please note we are all here on a volunteer bases and have jobs and Families that also need us.

01.01.2022 Last night Red Desert Events has the pleasure of setting up and serving for our wonderful Client at the Business After Hours Event held at Parnawarri. I didnt get any photos of the set up because I was so amazed at that Santa Sleigh filled with Delicious goodies from the fantastic Jane Parnawarri IGA! Plus I got to serve the drinks with our Chairman & Vicechair.
