25.01.2022 I enjoyed creating this concept for a small coastal garden at Marcus Beach. The design brief called for a Mediterranean garden with a firepit/place to sit, and a dining area with a pergola. I produced these 3d renders which helped visualise the plan and the homeowner is delighted with the result. Planting includes mature olive trees, lemon, lavender, foxtail grass, native coastal rosemary, grape, guinea flower, and yes, even climbing roses. 17.01.2022 My Castaways Beach garden five months after install. My client wanted a relaxed coastal feel to suit the beachside location, so I replaced the existing formal black panel fence with upright hardwood sleepers for a rustic feel that complements the weathered timber on the house. The existing exotic plant palette was replaced by a native plant pallete of grey and dark green tones with light, airy grasses, a feature grass tree and low planting, adding to the relaxed, open feel. ...Bluestone steppers, feature boulder and corten steel house numbers rounds out the hardscape with natural materials. 03.01.2022 Concept design for a small front and back/side garden. Floating timber steps to the front door create a welcome entry. A rendered block fence with timber slat panels defines the boundary. A small tree helps frame the house while mixed groundcover, kangaroo paw, and grasses amongst boulders keeps an open feel. At the back, a water feature with multiple spilling pools of water was set at an angle to help create movement and visually widen the very narrow space.
