25.01.2022 **OPERATION RIGBY** *** RIGBY URGENTLY NEEDS A HOME WITH A COMMITTED OWNER!! *** It's Rigby here and unfortunately my potential furever homes, and even my foster homes, have not worked out. I have had so many trial adoptions but everyone has given up on me - sometimes in a few hours - the longest four weeks. ... Rescue Hub's trainer/behaviourist, Bear Hasofer, recommends that I would be most suitable in a home with a single, active guy with no children. A tradesperson would be ideal for me where I could go to work with you. I will come with a hand-over training session from the trainer. I am currently in board and training with Bear The Dog Behaviourist but I desperately need to find a home as I don’t want to go back to the kennels and possibly regress. I had a sad start to life as I was left outside on a chain 24/7 prior to being rescued by Rescue Hub. I am an energetic young boy who is so eager to learn, and as I had no previous training, I have been put into a training program with our behaviourist, who has helped me with my social skills, how to walk well on the lead and to follow commands. I am a loving young dog who wants to be friends with other dogs, however I can be very boisterous and dominant, which some dogs don't like. For this reason I will be better as an only dog at this stage. I have met children but I can be boisterious so a home with teenage children may be suitable. I need a owner who is willing to continue my training program that was put into place for me. Once, I understand the rules and limitations, I really am an amazing dog. I don't need much - just a quiet family, or single person maybe, a loner who needs some company, who doesn't have many visitors, a small secure yard to potter around in, a warm sunny spot to laze about, a soft warm bed or maybe even your bed would be nice I walk well on the lead, I love a little cuddle, I love my squeaky toys and I love treats. I would be best as the only pet in the family th...ough - so no other doggies and cats etc. See, I'm a pretty easy going little guy who won't ask for much - I promise! Doof lives mostly outside at the moment, but he is an inside outside dog, and is toilet trained. He walks well on the lead, and he can sit on command. He especially loves men, he would hang out in the shed with his owner all day if allowed, and he loves to play ball. He is used to riding on the back of a ute (safely harnessed of course) He gets along with everyone he meets, but due to his size he would be best to be re homed with teenage children. 09.01.2022 LOOK AT OUR BEAUTIFUL BELLA ENJOYING HER FOSTER HOME!! SHE IS DOING SO WELL & WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER Some notes from Richard who is fostering Bella: Really good girl who walks well on the leash. Reasonably well recall so far given her excitement level.... Adapts quickly and really listens. Amazing dog. No negative reactions to other dogs so far and has met large, and small dogs. Very easy dog and beautiful. Very promising outcome so far. Toilet trained. Goes to work with Richard and sleeps on her bed while he works. Hasn't reacted to any loud noises such as motor bikes roaring past. Loves going in the car. A bit excited about it at the moment but with more exposure will get better. Loves the beach and park, and playing with the dogs she has met. Will relax outside in the yard by herself. 08.01.2022 MEET OUR GORGEOUS BRODY This beautiful boy came into a Western Sydney pound, as a pup, with his siblings, in late December, 2018. The guy who bought them in apparently found them all as strays on a road and they were heavily infested with worms that took two doses of treatment, to rid them of the infestation. Rescue Hub rescued Brody and his siblings on New Years Eve, 2018, and later on they all found homes.... Unfortunately, Brody's home didn't turn into a furever home. His family contacted Rescue Hub a few months ago as they were having problems and couldn't keep him anymore. The day Brody was bought back to our kennels, he was so scared and unsure of everything. We have taken things very slowly with Brody and have let him do things at his own pace, and he is now comfortable, and more trusting of us. He is still scared of new people but once he gets to know you, especially if you have some yummy treats for him, or bbq chicken, he is very loving towards you. It will be awhile longer yet before Brody will be available for adoption but if there is a very special, patient, committed loving family, or person, who feel they could offer him a special home, then please send us a message for more details. 06.01.2022 OUR GORGEOUS LITTLE BUDDY IS STILL WAITING!! I don't need much - just a quiet little family, maybe a single person, or a loner who needs some nice company like me. I'd be best suited to a home that doesn't have many visitors, a small secure yard to potter around in, a warm sunny spot to laze about, a soft warm bed or maybe even your bed would be nice I walk well on the lead, I love a little cuddle once I get to know you well, I love my squeaky toys and I love treats.... I would need to be the only pet in the family though - so no other doggies and cats etc. See, I'm a pretty easy going little guy who won't ask for much - I promise! The only thing I need to work on is not becoming protective of my family when people come to visit so that is why I would be best suited to a quiet home with someone who doesn't have alot of friends, or family, visiting them. You would need to come visit me at the kennels a few times so I can get to know you first and if I feel you are the right person for me, I will do a refresher training session with Rescue Hub's behaviourist/trainer, Bear The Dog Behaviourist, first to make my transition from kennel life to my new home, be the best as possible. There are currently three of us old doggies here in the Blacktown City Animal Holding Facility, NSW, and we want our families. It's still cold here at night and we should be warm, and loved, in our homes instead of locked up in cold cement kennels. ... We don't know where are families are and why they haven't come to save us. Did we do something wrong or is it just because we are old and they don't want us anymore!
