24.01.2022 The pesticide reaccreditation for many of our members is due to expire later this month. We have requested a 12 month deferral given the Covid-19 restrictions and the impact on our usual method of training. Our request is under consideration. I will let you know the outcome as soon as possible. Stay safe regards Florence

19.01.2022 Vale Wayne Rodgers. An icon of our industry, but more importantly a Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend to so many. Words simply cannot express the shock and sadness felt throughout our community. We offer our deepest sympathy to the Rodgers family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

14.01.2022 Firstly, we want to protect Koalas & ensure their numbers increase. The Koala Habitat SEPP issue for Farmers in this region has stemmed from: No Consultation while in planning phase. Predictive maps that are wildly inaccurate. These same maps will be used as a planning instrument for Councils.... It will mean that if, for example, you want to dig a drain on your property, a Development Applicstion must be lodged which will trigger a Koala Assessment to be done at your expense. There may be more unintended consequences which highlights the need for consultation. On ground verification of the mapping is essential. It’s not a them or us situation. We can all be part of the solution. See more

02.01.2022 We pay tribute to this gentle giant of the cane growing community. Wayne Rodgers was a shining light in our industry. He was a big man with big ideas, big tract...ors, yet at the same time he was a thoughtful and caring person with the biggest of hearts.
