25.01.2022 https://bluethumb.com.au/eileen-rigby-//marnie-s-flowers-2 One day quite some time ago now, an ex-student came to visit. I hadn't seen her since she was in grade seven, in Townsville. She arrived with her little girl and a bunch of Ranunculas for me. We spent a nostalgic couple of hours sitting on the floor chatting and laughing interspersed with some tears and hugs!! These flowers, that visit, was so, so special!! Her flowers became a painting and so the memories are kept alive!

21.01.2022 Even though classes are on hold we have spent time in the studio every day. Always relax, with breakfast in there, whilst listening to Nat King Cole each morning. Also have been working with our tech expert on the new website every day- soon to be launched. The website will have a shop, Classes page, blog and cart for purchases and for booking online. Have lunch in the studio, every day, watching Would I Lie to You? on the computer. Have been re-working some paintings and soon to be starting a new piece. Naturally the garden requires daily attention too. Keep drawing and painting!

10.01.2022 We have been in lock-down now for five weeks tomorrow. I have really missed holding art classes in the studio but have used the time to catch up on jobs, planning and, of course, painting. I imagine that classes will not be able to resume for a while and hope that everyone has found a way of continuing their art work. The drawing class could easily sketch things around the house during this time - always happy to have a look at your work and to give advice if you email it to me. I know that Karen is working through several ideas and it has been so thrilling to be kept in the loop with her latest projects. My latest works centre mainly around the material that I gathered from our overseas trip last August.
