25.01.2022 Tedious job of refitting all our existing sensors plus more! Really trying to cover all bases so the car is as easy as possible to engineer

24.01.2022 Unfortunately this whole corona thing has spiralled out of control in Melbourne, with a harsh stage 4 lock down implemented and a curfew between 8pm and 5am I decided it was best to have the car at home. Whilst everyone in Melbourne is busy wasting time doing jigsaw puzzles, watching the next tiger king or making corona babies, Ill be in the shed every night getting this little rig finished with all this spare time!

24.01.2022 Is it really a proper race car if you can’t stroke the carbon trumpets from the drivers seat?

23.01.2022 Isolation is the little Hyundais best friend at the moment, progress is coming leaps and bounds. Just about mounted up every sensor and bulkhead connector needed now to get some wiring into her. Got a start on the paddle shift plumbing, mounted the bespoke bulkhead connector/ one way valve dick the old man knocked up, weve ended up mounting the air tank for the paddle shift at the very rear of the car thus needing to break through the firewall, rules state the tank has to b...e 500mm from the fuel tank, irrelevant of firewalls/ bulkheads. Will keep the updates coming! Cheers

23.01.2022 New front bar is coming up nice, bit more detailing and it’ll be ready to mould

22.01.2022 Were forever getting asked why not time attack etc etc.. this is why

21.01.2022 Massive shout out to the guys down at Melbourne Performance Centre for hooking us up with a MoTeC C187 dash, another piece of the puzzle sorted, not long now till we can get the car down to them and making some noise on the dyno.

21.01.2022 Ticking off all those small tedious jobs. We just about have the cockpit sealed, as anyone whos built a midship tube frame car would understand, its an absolute bastard of a job. The decision was made not to carbon the passenger door area of the interior due to it being so close to the exhaust, reducing the risk of fire as much as we possibly can. Also finished off the dash mount with the isolater and ignition switch mounted to it. Im really digging the simplified cockpit weve created this time

20.01.2022 The new pedal box is almost complete, been a bit of messing around getting rid of the throttle cable and adapting the drive by wire set up. Really happy with the outcome, even was able to incorporate a Turbosmart wastegate spring as the throttle spring, beauty of this is theres a few different rates available to nail that perfect pedal feel.

19.01.2022 Just thought wed remind everyone that Margot Robbie used to skid around in an excel. Thats all.

17.01.2022 Been a while since its been weighed, all the carbon seems to of paid off, dont need to burn it because its too heavy.

17.01.2022 Well worth watching the vid, diversity of cars for a similar result

17.01.2022 What started out as a fantastic opportunity to showcase and create some interest for our category at the f1s this weekend, came to a very public premature ending this morning. In my opinion a very disappointing decision thats the result of media over sensationalising things to the point the average Australian is absolutely shitting themselves. Stock piling toilet paper, food etc, its all getting out of hand. Please get a grip people and do some proper research with whats actually in front of us... the world isnt ending

16.01.2022 I read that Supercars are moving to a single throttle body with oem style plenum on gen 3.... simply sacrilegious! Here’s the donk from the Hyundai in all its glory with its carbon trumpeted itb’s... exactly what a real race car should have

15.01.2022 Shes starting to look a little different

15.01.2022 Made a ton of progress on the car over the weekend. Cut away all the old rack mounts and fabbed up mounts for the new rack, also got the radiator mounted and a start on the ducting, to get the car running we are just doing it in alloy, once we have some spare time and coin, will turn it all into carbon. Whilst on the subject of carbon, the guys down at Australian Fibreglass Composites have knocked up some carbon interior panels for us this week, hanging to see what theyve come up like

14.01.2022 Glad to be reaching the final stages of the body work, just the side skirts left now!

14.01.2022 Dash is pretty! 299km/h is a little ambitious... unless we end up at Bathurst of course

14.01.2022 some cracker rounds there

13.01.2022 Finally back into the little rig, body work is almost all mounted up now. Shes also scored a Christmas present in the form of a giant convex carbon rear vision mirror, might actually be able to see whats behind now... not that thats important

12.01.2022 Merry Christmas guys and girls, I hope you all scored a sports sedan under the tree!

11.01.2022 Wishing everyone a happy new year I think its safe to say we will be taking this for a skid in 2020!

11.01.2022 Wiring loom time, really excited to see how this comes up!

10.01.2022 Take 2 on the rear guards, much better

09.01.2022 New front bar is coming up nice, bit more detailing and itll be ready to mould

09.01.2022 We decided to relocate the ecu and Pdm, come to the conclusion mounted behind the seat would compliment the layout of a wiring loom a lot more Thanks to the guys from Melbourne Performance Centre for the MoTeC goodies

09.01.2022 Just thought we’d remind everyone that Margot Robbie used to skid around in an excel. That’s all.

08.01.2022 Isolation buddy

06.01.2022 Starting to take shape body wise

06.01.2022 Pretty happy with how the new front has come up, fitting a 660mm tall front tyre to a little Hyundai was a challenge! Now to get a start on manufacturing a new front splitter

06.01.2022 Guess we better get some stickers on her, weve been asked to have the car on display with a bunch of other Sports Sedans at this years formula 1 meeting at Albert Park. Make sure to have a look if you are down there!

05.01.2022 Isolation is the little Hyundai’s best friend at the moment, progress is coming leaps and bounds. Just about mounted up every sensor and bulkhead connector needed now to get some wiring into her. Got a start on the paddle shift plumbing, mounted the bespoke bulkhead connector/ one way valve dick the old man knocked up, we’ve ended up mounting the air tank for the paddle shift at the very rear of the car thus needing to break through the firewall, rules state the tank has to b...e 500mm from the fuel tank, irrelevant of firewalls/ bulkheads. 05.01.2022 The legends down at Australian Fibreglass Composites have knocked up our carbon engine covers/ interior paneling, stoked with the result!

05.01.2022 She’s starting to look a little different

05.01.2022 And back she goes for round 2 of wiring, few finishing off jobs and the electrical side of the car will be complete. Quite exciting really, a little bit of plumbing is needed to the water, oil and fuel system and then she’s ready to fire up!

05.01.2022 We’re forever getting asked why not time attack etc etc.. this is why

04.01.2022 Glad to of finally finished off the interior paneling and get the car back on its wheels! Now shes back on the deck, will get the last of the body work and aero trickery mounted up. Few more pics in the comments

04.01.2022 Finally got cracking into the new floor on the car, after crunching some numbers i was quite surprised to see the surface area difference from what we had which was a fusion of the old and current rules. What we are going to end up with is 2% less surface area in the flat floor, but a massive 20% area increase in the diffusers, Venturis and black magic! Now the fun job of locating all the existing holes so we can bond and rivet the new floor up.

04.01.2022 Bit of footage from 2017 popped up on fb from the Winton national round. Battling a damaged engine from Friday practice which robbed a fair bit of straight line handling, we still gave it a red hot shot https://m.youtube.com/watch

03.01.2022 Few more goodies rolled in this week for the Hyundai, we made the decision to swap out the road going rack for motorsport piece, with the hope for more cornering load this was more of a sensible upgrade. We also picked up a Holinger Engineering lsd for the 9 diff, ripper little unit!

02.01.2022 Hanging to get her back out to the island

01.01.2022 Still an advocate for pushing to be allowed to make these cars look a bit more agro aero wise, however this’ll do for now.

01.01.2022 Carbon addiction is real, interior is far less spartan than what it used to be! Also picked up a block for the second/ spare/ screamer engine, hanging to get this one together and see how it fares against the 6L cars

01.01.2022 Every time we see a comment saying "should of kept the sr" is just a reoccurring nightmare of this

01.01.2022 Back half of the cars piecing together nicely
