17.01.2022 In 2009 I interviewed the talented young Tasmanian Tigers wicket-keeper at The Examiner Newspaper, Launceston's junior sports awards. We caught up again this we...ek in the same building, Country Club Tasmania. He may have since become Cricket Australia's Test captain, but Tim Paine has barely changed, was happy to reminisce about those rather eventful years and enjoyed reading the relevant columns in Shaw Things - not least spending an evening wearing the furry feet of Cricket Tasmania mascot Tyro the Tiger following the 2010 one-day cup victory at the MCG.

16.01.2022 "The AFL celebrating Tasmanian football is a bit like cane toads celebrating endemic Australian wildlife." Rob Shaw's latest thoughts on AFL in Tasmania via Sydney, Shanghai and South America.

15.01.2022 Delighted to report that Riverside Olympic Football Club have made the English Premier League. Many thanks to Brighton & Hove Albion FC for including an article... about Shaw Things in their programme before the big shutdown. The piece refers to the many gratuitous Seagulls references in the columns including describing Olympic's heroic centre-back Ethan Olner as "the Shane Duffy of the West Tamar". Perhaps the proudest day of my life. Copies still available at $29.95, message me for details.

14.01.2022 The fella makes a good point. Time to show Shaw Things some Valentine's Day love.
