25.01.2022 Sax / Guitar Player wanted New Sensation Perth’s most authentic INXS tribute show seeks a dedicated Sax / Guitar Player to replace our recently departed Kirk Pingelly. Interested parties should possess the following: 1. A well-rounded musical theory and practical performance knowledge pertaining to their personal instrument including Alto and Tenor Sax. 2. The ability to read ready-made charts provided by our previous sax player... 3. Their own personal instrument(s), personal vehicle and a current driver’s license 4. The ability to perform whilst utilising IEM systems (Inner Ear Monitoring) as the band works to click and cue tracks. (IEM system will be supplied by the band) 5. The ability to rehearse a minimum of once per week from 6pm on Monday nights (at Hen House Rehearsal Studios) during initial joining phase then as required upon the replist being cemented by the successful applicant. 6. The ability to sing backing vocals (harmonies) * 7. The ability to play basic rhythm electric guitar to mimic the role of Kirk Pingelly. * 8. The ability to work in a team based environment 9. The willingness to wear costumes on stage as deemed necessary by the Director of the band 10. Holds a current ABN and Tax File Number 11. Holds Australian citizenship / residency or the appropriate permission to work within Australia 12. Possesses NO outstanding criminal legal actions pending *Backing Vocals and Guitar playing skills are desired but not essential for the right fit musician joining our band. New Sensation is a well-established INXS Tribute act that performs a wide range of INXS tracks in a live setting. To assist in delivering an authentic tribute, all band members perform whilst wearing costumes depicting their specific INXS band member. In this case it is Kirk Pingelly. There will be a requirement for the successful applicant to adopt the role of Kirk on stage both musically and in appearance likeness as much as possible. We seek to hire a committed performer who understands the concepts surrounding a working tribute act and has previous experience working in band group settings both locally and regionally. The successful applicant will be available to work with the band on any date or at any time, as bookings are confirmed both in Metro and regional areas of Western Australia. There is 1 case of Covid 19 in Holguin now according to our sources but this is yet to be confirmed by the official authorities. Saturday 28th March 2020, New Sensation with special guests The Acoustic Dragons have resurrected the show (promoted by JustBCoz Entert...ainment) at the Ocean View Tavern. The event was recently cancelled due to forces beyond our control but direct negotiations with the OVT have resulted in a new line up and new life for Saturday 28th March 2020. The event will now feature 2 massive sets of INXS tracks from New Sensation and a special guest opening set from The Acoustic Dragons commencing at 8:30pm. $10.00 Online Pre Sale tickets will be available from 12th March via www.eventbrite.com.au with $10.00 physical hard copy tickets also available at the venue from the 16th March. Limited door sales will be available for $15.00 on the night. Doors open from 7:30pm with the action commencing at 8:30pm.
