23.01.2022 In addition to the world premiere of Father, on Saturday, June 8, the Rosebery Film Festival is pleased to announce that, after lengthy negotiations, an award-winning film, Indigo Lake, which has not yet had a general release, will have a gala screening on Sunday, June 9, at 8:30pm. Entry to the screening will be without charge except that scarves must be worn. Instead of a red-carpet gala this will be a red-scarf gala. See: roseberyfilmfestival.org/indigolake

03.01.2022 Some people on the West Coast have watched with some dismay the rather bleak documentary, Where the Rivers Run Red. One way for less-than-satisfied locals to respond to any perceived unfairness in that documentary is to make short films of their own, and the Rosebery Film Festivals 48-Hour Challenge is an appropriate competition to express their complaints in the form of short films (of between three and six minutes) and, by the way, to have a chance at winning various pri...zes. Personal stories, anecdotes, rants and diatribes can be relatively easy to write and entertaining to watch. Heres what to do: organise now and register a team for the Rosebery Film Festivals 48-Hour Challenge (at http://roseberyfilmfestival.org/challenge/); between now and the festival plan the film; on Friday night, June 7, write the short films script; on Saturday morning, June 8, shoot that film; on Saturday afternoon through to Sunday morning, June 9, have an editor edit the film; on Sunday evening, June 9. watch the various films.
