24.01.2022 It’s been a long, cold winter this year. It probably hasn’t been as long and cold as some other winters, but it certainly feels that way. I guess we’ve got lockdown to thank for that. But friends, spring has sprung! Warmer weather is on the way; and with it, sunnier days and no doubt sunnier dispositions! Can’t hurt to hurry it along though. With that in mind I’ve made a sunny days playlist. ‘Jog on, Winter!’ is packed full of songs that give me all the sunny day feels. I ho...pe you find something on here that does the same for you. Something that might spark optimism, warm your heart and soul, or recall those glorious, lazy days from summers past. Summer Breeze Type O Negative Cornucopia Serj Tankian Good Day Sunshine The Beatles California Soul Marlena Shaw Sunshine and Love Happy Mondays Clint Eastwood Gorillaz Sun is Shining Bob Marley & the Wailers Summertime Big Brother & the Holding Company & Janis Joplin Summertime Rolls Jane’s Addiction Island in the Sun Weezer Behind the Sun Red Hot Chili Peppers You are my Sunshine Aretha Franklin Girl Beck Radiation Vibe Fountains of Wayne Sister Havana Urge Overkill

20.01.2022 I'm not going to lie, putting together a playlist of my best loved Prince songs was a challenge. I worked on it for a few weeks because there are so many Prince songs I love. There aren't many I can think of that don't give me the uncontrollable urge to dance like nobody's watching. But this here is the cream of the crop for me. Prince could do it all - he had soul, he rocked, he funked and he could craft the perfect pop song like nobody else. And he was like nobody else! He was so freaking weird and he knew it, and he knew he was the shit and I adore him. So here's to you, Prince! This world has lost its mind without you.

20.01.2022 Today I’m sharing with you my ‘Working from Home’ playlist. It’s not calming, and it doesn’t help with productivity - mostly because it makes me take way more dance breaks than I otherwise would - but it’s a good one for blowing off steam. 11.01.2022 Into the Abyss is a collection of songs I heard almost every Friday night at Abyss nightclub at the Paladin in Melbourne in the late 1990s. When putting this together, I asked some of my clubbing comrades from back then what songs they remember from Abyss days. Although there was some cross-over, it was fascinating to see how many different songs stood out to each of us. While coronavirus has put a stop to nightclubbing for the foreseeable future (and Im well and truly pa...st that stage in my life) next Friday night Ill play this loud, pour myself a few bourbon and cokes and take a much needed dance down memory lane. 1. Fire in the Head - The Tea Party 2. Heresy - Nine Inch Nails 3. Red Right Hand - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 4. Touched - Vast 5. Temple of Love - The Sisters of Mercy 6. More Human than Human - White Zombie 7. How Soon is Now? - The Smiths 8. Love will Tear us Apart - Joy Division 9. Blue Monday - New Order 10. Pictures of You - The Cure 11. The Dope Show - Marilyn Manson 12. Its No Good - Depeche Mode 13. Du hast - Rammstein 14. Tainted Love - Soft Cell 15. N.W.O. - Ministry 16. You Spin me Round (Like a Record) - Dead or Alive 17. Everythings Cool - Pop Will Eat Itself 18. Chaos B.C. - Sepultura 19.Corporate Slave - Snog 20. Love Like Blood - Killing Joke

05.01.2022 It didn’t take me long to throw this playlist together. For two reasons; the first being that ‘New Wave’ is such a broad music genre, it pretty much covers anything remotely punk or involving the synthesizer from the late 1970’s and 1980’s. The second being that many of the songs and bands I so dearly love fit into this genre. In fact, the problem was not in finding songs to include, but deciding what wasn’t going to make the cut. I grew up listening to New Wave and now I pla...y it to Quinny ( even though she prefers J-pop). New Wave music to me is like comfort food. It’s my go to when I’m feeling a bit low and truthfully, I’ve been listening to it solidly through 2020. So please enjoy ‘No New Wave, No Fun.’ Oh, and apologies to any Mclusky fans out there Another Girl, Another Planet - The Only Ones We Can Get Together - Flowers The Unguarded Moment - The Church Uncontrollable Urge - Devo Rock Lobster - The B-52's Cars - Gary Numan Bigmouth Strikes Again - The Smiths I Got You - Split Enz Psycho Killer - Talking Heads Hanging on the Telephone - Blondie The Sun Always Shines on TV - A-ha Cities in Dust - Siouxsie and the Banshees 10:15 Saturday Night - The Cure To Cut a Long Story Short - Spandau Ballet The Killing Moon - Echo and the Bunnymen https://music.youtube.com/playlist
