Wednesday 2nd September 2020 Gifts will range in price from $1 to $10 Classes will visit the stall with their teacher during class time. 21.01.2022 Dear Parents and Caregivers, Please be careful on Nemies Road near the bus stop (Gowan Road end heading away from the school) as a large tree has fallen over partially covering the road. Stay safe everyone!

20.01.2022 Dear Parents/Caregivers, With all of the work going on around the school and COVID-19 restrictions school drop off and pick up has become even busier. We have had a few near misses in the past weeks so following the rules is more important than ever. Please be aware and mindful of the following at all times:... * Please use the crossing and follow the instructions of the crossing guard when crossing the road. For the safety of everyone please stay aware of traffic movements at all times. * Please have your childs name and class displayed when in the Stop, Drop and Go zone. This will help the staff of duty to identify your child/children and get them safely to your car. * Please dont park in the drop off zone. This is for Stop, Drop and Go only. You need to stay with your car at all times in this zone otherwise you are holding up traffic on Nemies Road and causing further congestion. * Please dont stop across the exit of the Stop, Drop and Go zone. This will also hold up traffic and the general flow of this zone. * Please dont cut the line try to get into the Stop, Drop and Go zone. For the safety of all involved if the line is long think about doing another lap before joining the queue. Understandably people get very frustrated when other cars are cutting the queue or are parking in the queue. * Please dont park across peoples driveways. This does not promote the good community relationship we strive to maintain with our neighbours. * Please ensure you are parked within the line markers. Recently cars have been over the lines taking up more than one space or even more concerning parking over the line so part of the car is the driving lane. As with driving in any school zone please be aware that children can be unpredictable and as drivers we should be alert at all times. Please follow the road rules and be courteous to others around our school community. Lets all help keep our kids safe!

19.01.2022 Just a gentle reminder that it is Mothers Day tomorrow, Sunday 10th May 2020. Whether youve gone big or small this Mothers Day, please remember that above all else Mums, Step-Mothers, Grandmas, Nannas, Dads or anyone who fills this role in your life just want to feel appreciated (dont get me wrong we love all of the handmade and store bought gifts as well ). So tomorrow morning when you bring Mum or that special person breakfast (in my case it will be cereal), a dr...ink or just to say good morning, please remember that what we really want to hear is Happy Mothers Day, thank you for everything you do and I love you. It may be simple, sweet and short but it will mean the world to the person receiving it. Even if you cant see them, call them, text them, email them, FaceTime etc or even carrier pigeon (ask your parents/Grandparents about this one). On behalf of the P & C I would like to wish anyone who fills this important role in any form a Happy Mothers Day!! Enjoy your Sunday and please stay safe!!

This letter and the order envelope have been sent home today. Please ensure you put your childs name and class on the envelope and ensure the correct money is enclosed. As always the effort you put into organising and making these stalls run is phenomenal!! You never fail to make it amazing and enjoyable event for all. To quote a few of this year's Grade 2 students "they have been awesome!"

10.01.2022 Good Afternoon Parents, Please note that this years school photos will be held on the Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th August 2020. We will provide another reminder closer to the date but it may be helpful to note it down now (anyone else been caught out with bedhair and little sleep on school photo day? )

10.01.2022 Dear Parents/Caregivers, During morning drop off and afternoon pick up (especially afternoon pick up) please ensure you are parking legally. It is illegal to park across a driveway (you must be 1 metre clear of either side of the driveway) and to park in the bus zone (20 metres before and 10 metres after the bus stop). This is for everyones safety as buses are large vehicles and during an emergency our neighbours shouldnt be restricted from leaving their driveways.... Please do not park on the small grass strip across from Brandon Road between the two driveways as even if you are a small car this is blocking one or both driveways. If you require clarification on this section please contact me. Please also note that it is illegal to park on the yellow painted lines. Our neighbours are very rightly becoming extremely frustrated with parents parking illegally. If you have any questions regarding the above information please email me at [email protected]

We just had an idea regarding school pick up from the stop drop and go to help maintain our 1.5m social distance. If parents of an afternoon were able to write their childs name and class down clearly to show of an afternoon (an example is pictured)

03.01.2022 Christmas is a wonderful time of year but unfortunately there are those in our community who are less fortunate. Let's show our RHSS community spirit by supporting the Wesley Mission Red Bag Christmas Appeal. Our fabulous Chappy Marion has arranged for our school to participate in this worthwhile cause. Let's all make this holiday season special for everyone, bring any of the items listed below to your classroom's red bag.

01.01.2022 Try this if your feeling a little stressed this September especially with school holidays coming up!

01.01.2022 Im sure we are all looking forward to the whole school returning tomorrow. Just a few things to remember to avoid the mad rush in the morning. Dont forget to pack your childs morning tea, lunch and a healthy snack for munch n crunch. They will also need a hat, water bottle and iPad (if in an iPad class). As the drop off and collection rules have changed for the foreseeable future, please talk to your children tonight about the process tomorrow.... Hopefully by having them a little more prepared, everything will run smoothly and there wont be too many tears. To our wonderful parents, thank you for your efforts over the past five weeks. I have loved seeing the photos of the at home adventures you have been having. On behalf of the P&C I would like to thank our amazing teachers and staff for all of their efforts over the past weeks and in the future. A think many parents have a new found appreciation for what you do day in day out. You are amazing and appreciated more than ever!! See you all tomorrow (even if it is from a distance)
