25.01.2022 Today we have nearly 30 members from management committees (first officers, secretaries and treasurers) from all around our Townsville area including Hinchinbrook, Burdekin and Bowen areas attending our secretary and treasurer workshop covering the latest policies and procedures on how to effectively operate in their roles within their brigades.

14.01.2022 This weekend we have 12 course candidates from across North Queensland including mount Isa attending an Australasian Interservice Incident Management Systems course (AIIMS) This course is designed to train our members on how we as a department run incidents

13.01.2022 Our response is all hazards however outside of wildfires our skill sets are limited to ensure our safety and that of the community and we rely on the permanent firefighters for their skill sets. Today we are undertaking hazardous materials training to ensure we are aware of exposures present and to address them.

11.01.2022 Third time lucky, today the Round Mountain Rural Fire Station was opened by the Honourable Craig Crawford, Minister for Fire & Emergency Services. The event was attended by Brigade Members, their families and local Rural Brigades.
