20.01.2022 Sabre Assoc of Australia have created a private group called the Sabre Performance forum. It is for Sabre sailors only and it is the space where we can talk about all issues related to Sabre performance. This could include sailing technique, sails, masts, hulls, construction, fitness or anything else that relates to Sabre performance. You will just have to answer a couple of questions to join and then anybody can post a question or item for discussion. ... 17.01.2022 Boxing Day - no Sydney to Hobart start to watch so 3 SYC sailors plus a B&SYC ring in thought we would do another on water Evaluation of the Trial "Fat head "... sail. Unfortunately only two sailors got a sail with the new design before it "glassed out". However in mostly 6 - 10 knots the sail impressed all four sailors and reported our observations on the provided Association evaluation sheet. For most of the session it was "Hollywood Sailing" flat seas and light steady breeze; only happens in the movies. A tough way to spend Boxing day if not watching S2H start or the cricket!

13.01.2022 Sabres WA would like to convey its deepest sympathies Robin and Scott Olsen family on the passing of Sue Olsen. Sue was a highly valued member of the sailing fraternity in WA. She was always involved in the admin of many sailing regattas along with Scott’s father Robin as a well known and respected PRO. Sue and Robin were both involved in our 2013/14 and 2017/18 WA Sabre National Championships as officials and were helpful and efficient in their positions. They also enjoyed being involved with the Sabres watching Scott compete. Sue will be missed by many
