25.01.2022 Hi everyone, just as a reminder we do NOT sail this Tuesday, Melbourne Cup day, our volunteers like the occasional day off! Hope you have a good day yourselves, see you Friday or next week. A quick reminder, at this point we are ONLY doing sailing dinghy sails, no powerboats of any kind.

24.01.2022 Tuesday 15th June, there is a slight chance of a shower so be prepared for that, we are sailing. If you have been in any of the notified Covid hotspots in the last 14 days do not come to Sailability, get tested.

23.01.2022 It's National Volunteer Week and after a year of unparalleled disasters and community need, it's more important than ever to recognise the efforts of our volunt...eers! On behalf of the community can I say a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful and selfless community volunteers who contribute enormously to our local Sunshine Coast region and beyond

20.01.2022 So when you can’t use a real boat.... $5.99 plus 3 optional add ons at $1.49 each it looks like. Note it is American so the terminology might be slightly different, not sure.

20.01.2022 The Management Committee of Sailability Sunshine Coast regrets to announce the continued cancellation of all sailing days, at this stage until at least 10th July 2020, when stage 3 of the eased restrictions is due to be implemented in Queensland. As the proposed restrictions from that date still require social distancing it is unlikely we will be able to resume then due to the size of our boat cockpits, but the committee will continue to regularly review the regulations in place and advise any changes. The committee sees that COVID-19 is a risk to many of our volunteers as well as clients due to age or other conditions, and the shared equipment and close proximity while sailing.

19.01.2022 From Gloria BlackSwan: Greig is loving being back in the sailboat, Thank you everyone

19.01.2022 Sailability Sunshine Coast is planning a partial return to sailing under a Covid Safe plan which allows a bit more participation and will operate from 27th October to 4th December when we cease operations for the summer break, resuming 29th January. Please note we need to limit the numbers on site so ONLY come to the Shed if you have a booking. Procedures have been sent out by email, if you have not received same please either PM us or email. Again do not come down to the Shed just in case, only if you have agreed to our restrictions and have a booking. we hope by next year things will ease again and we may be able to offer more services.

18.01.2022 Friday 14th February, we are sailing, the weather looks very good with just a slight chance of a shower through the morning. Happy Valentines Day!

17.01.2022 Dear carers, teachers, clients and volunteers At a recent management committee meeting it was determined that we cannot resume normal operations yet due to the COVID-19 restrictions, still meaning that we cannot operate our boats with two people on board. We regret that this is continuing, we are doing limited sailing for those who can sail solo and do not need physical assistance to embark / disembark the boats.... We will continue to review the restrictions and will issue updated advice by Friday 30th October, although realistically we are unlikely to be able to resume operations before February next year.

15.01.2022 Tuesday 18th February, we are sailing. The forecast is fine with just a chance of a light shower

15.01.2022 Just an update on Sailability Sunshine Coast’s operations The committee met earlier this week and agreed that we are not yet in a position to resume normal operations due to the COVID-19 restrictions. This will be reviewed again next month and advice issued on or before the 21st August. We have resumed very limited operations for volunteers and this week for those who can sail solo and board & disembark the dinghies without assistance, this is limited to clients who have pro...ved this capability and are complying with a roster of sailors issued each week to participants. The COVID-19 restrictions on sport have eased a little but the committee is not convinced that we could implement and monitor the stated requirements, particularly due to the large amount of our equipment which is used by a number of people every day in normal operations, and also comply with the no contact rules.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone, thank you for your messages, we are massively overloaded at the moment, we will get back to you. due to the limited numbers in our Covid Plan we can't guarantee how many we will be able to accommodate, but we will be in touch.

13.01.2022 Friday 18th June, we are sailing, weather is fine and chilly. If you have been in a COVID hotspot in the last 14 days or have any symptoms please do not come sailing but follow health department advice.

10.01.2022 Friday 11th June, just a reminder we are not operating due to the Sunshine Coast Show public holiday, catch you next week!

06.01.2022 Happy Easter at home to all our readers! As you would know, no change to social distancing for a while, so we won’t see you in person for a couple of months is likely. Keep well and safe, Mark

05.01.2022 The Management Committee of Sailability Sunshine Coast regret to announce that all sailing days will be cancelled, at this stage until the end of May. The committee sees that COVID-19 is a risk to many of our volunteers as well as clients due to age or other conditions, and the shared equipment and close proximity while sailing. The Committee will meet regularly to review the current situation, and we will advise you of any changes.... if you wish to receive email advice as well as Facebook please send us via PM a preferred email address, preferably a generic company address if available.

04.01.2022 Tuesday 22nd June, we are sailing. There is a slight chance of a shower mid morning so rug up and bring wet weather gear.

04.01.2022 we are now set up for contact free registration once we complete testing. GuestTrack is free and seems to gather all the information we require for Covid tracing requirements.

03.01.2022 Not sailing but of interest
