23.01.2022 Payment times reporting reforms pass through Parliament: The Payment Times Reporting Bill 2020 passed through the Senate today. The bill passed the House of Representatives on 11 June. Under the new laws, a payment times reporting scheme will be introduced, requiring businesses with a total annual income of over $100 million to report on how and when they pay their small-business suppliers.... The latest report from the Reserve Bank of Australia reveals what the major payment trends from consumers were before the COVID-19 pandemic drastically changed behaviour. The survey provided further evidence that Australian consumers increasingly prefer to use electronic payment methods rather than cash for their day-to-day payments. ...
