24.01.2022 This Applecross walk in robe was large in length but the entry was completely isolated from ensuite. Creating a new opening from the ensuite allowed each of the rooms to integrate into one another increasing accessibility. The flow of curves paired with luminous strip lighting softens the overall appearance. The protrusion of the curved cabinets into the main walkway avoids harsh corners that could be hit by a wheelchair or walking frame.

Glazier cutting in toughened frameless glass shower screen . Cabinetmaker mitering the vanity finger recess and continuing to the side panels. Utilising all pockets of wasted space was an important factor in this design. Especially when said project at hand may be a renovation on a 100+ year old home. ... . In this situation a regular metal air conditioner return vent just wouldn't of sat well with stunning characteristics of the main hallway of this home. . So while always paying respect to the building's age and architectural features, together with @fordanddoonanairconditioning @luxinteriorswa we had a wee pow wow on site. . . After some deliberation and a spot of banter, we decided on louvered vents above the built in linen hallway cabinet. . Meeting the requirements to be wheelchair accessible didnt stop us creating a space that encapsulates the luxurious penthouse atmosphere. ... It was extremely important to the client that their ensuite didnt look like a disabled bathroom while simultaneously meeting accessibility standards and regulations. Our unique concept for the vanity includes pocket doors below the left basin that fold away for wheelchair access. After use, the doors can be closed imitating a standard wall hung vanity. See more
