25.01.2022 We have Re branded! This is our story The inspiration for this logo design has come from this beautiful image of a cross-section of sandalwood, showing growth rings. It was simplified using the brown tones, and then simplified again, incorporating a palette of colours that incorporates the other elements of the Sandalwood plant - leaves, berries and branches. The colours are vibrant, suggesting life and activity: more interesting and dynamic than the previously used primary... colours. The symbolism suggests growth and the incorporation of all ages within the organization, from children to youth, families and seniors. With the shapes nestled inside each other , there is a feeling of comfort and inclusiveness of differences- all are valued within the Centre. The outer ring is a stylised heart, portraying the care that is provided by the Sandalwood Family Centre to clients and groups who use the facilities and engage with the programs. It is also a stylised target, suggesting a focused approach that targets the community to bring people together to build connection. the visual focus is the deep pink berry.

04.01.2022 The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has regretfully cancelled the remainder of the 2021 Sunset at the Soundshell Series. We are disappointed for our community who w...ill miss out, though the latest COVID restrictions on live concerts meant it was not feasible to go ahead, in a fair way for all to enjoy. We are working very hard on COVID safe ways to celebrate summer.
