17.01.2022 The club had a great day fossicking every one picking up some good gemstones and were very happy we have 4 farms to go on in the Cloyna-Windera area and could pick up another one here are some images of the day so if you are interested in gemstones why not join our club

12.01.2022 The black star of Queensland was found by a 12 year boy(Roy Spencer) in 1937on his fathers(Harry Spencer) lease at Anakie QLD it was 1156 cts in the rough he didn't know exactly the value as he was used to the coloured sapphires by 1946 he had a lot more knowledge about the gemstone in 1947 he put it on the market and sold it to Harry Kazanjain for $18000 who had it cut in 1949 and it was valued at $1,000,000 today the set gem 733cts has got a reserve price of $88,000,000.
