22.01.2022 I just wanted to let you all know scratch and sniffs home base is up for sale. I wanted to rest your mind at ease that as soon as covid level 4 lock down is over we will be back to business as usual and the sale of the building will not effect the goings on of the grooming salon. If anyone is looking for a great local investment property..... I suggest you jump on it quickly. It’s a great market to buy in xxx

17.01.2022 As I’m sure you are all aware we are in stage 4 lock down. What does that mean for us as pet loving people? It means we can’t get our dogs and cats groomed professionally for the NEXT 6 WEEKS. I do know some large pet stores are still bending the law to suit them and grooming dogs as well. I would highly discourage taking your business to these companies as they do not care about you or your pet they only care about the bottom dollar and reaching sales targets. As always b...oth stef and I are here to answer questions so feel free to contact us and keep up the home brushing as best as you can. Please try not to cut at your pets fur with scissors close to the skin ( if you can’t see where you’re cutting it’s likely going to cut some skin!) And PLEASE remember we will never make you embarrassed or ashamed of how your pet comes to us on the other side of this shut down! Life has been really tough and the last thing I would ever do is tell someone off for not brushing their dog enough. It’s fur....... 16.01.2022 Rub-a-dub-dub 2 best buds in a tub!!! We are still open during this covid lock down and want to assure you we’d are taking the extra precautions necessary to keep everyone healthy and safe. We are available for bookings TUESDAY-SATURDAY by appointment ( we start at 8.30 and close at 5.30) ... We have added a late night Friday for CAT grooming only also If your require an appointment please call the salon on 9584 1940. 15.01.2022 Annnnnd we are back!!!! We have missed you all so much. To make sure we can get all your furry friends in for their grooming appointments we are opening up 2 days a week for cat grooming, as well as every second Saturday, as we did before. Due to covid restrictions and protocol we have had to cap our bookings per day so things will be spread out, this doesn’t change anything for you as our client and you will still receive the same individual love and care from me and t...he staff here, things are just a little slowed due to the strict cleaning regime. We will discuss this when you call and book in more detail. We can’t wait to hear from you and I want to assure you we DONT care if your pet has become matted or smelly during the lock down, it’s our job to fix it for you!!!! 11.01.2022 Just a reminder we ARE still operating normal business hours Tuesday throughout Saturday during this covid lock down. We have had to make some adjustments for cleanliness and hygiene practices which slows things down slightly but we can still assure you our survives have not changed and your pets are none the wiser and loving the extra time with us being spoilt with treats and love! Call the salon today to book your appointments. We can arrange a no contact drop off and pick up and also payment service also. NOTE: pet care has been deemed one of the 4 reasonable classifications to leave your home so you are safe to travel to get your pet groomed but we suggest you don’t stay and wait around, just go straight home and we will call you when your baby is ready for collection

10.01.2022 And just like that we are now owned by a very sweet, crazy, docile, tolerant and quirky domestic long hair kitten named Mr Tuna Sushi Taco sushi for short ( ps don’t let your kids name the pets!!) Sushi was dumped with his sister in a garbage bag, we are unsure of his exact age but guess around 12 weeks old. He may have had some asphyxiation issues and that attributes to his quirky personality!! The vet has given him the all clear medically to live a long and healthy life. He certainly has made himself very comfortable here at S&S headquarters and I’d love to share some videos of him meeting our other pets if you’d like that. It has given us absolute joy during this time of darkness and we’d love to share that with you. I officially welcome myself to the long hair cat club!!!!

09.01.2022 As we all know and have heard by now, covid cases in Victoria have risen dramatically, sending our state back into stage 3 lock down. For now scratch and sniffs will remain open but with VERY STRICT covid guidelines. We will not allow you to come to the salon without an appointment, this means do not drop in to make a booking, please only do so via the phone 9584 1940. Due to the restrictions we have had to make staffing adjustments as we have a small work space making appoin...tment times longer( your grooming appointment will take us longer to complete) . We will CALL YOU when your pet is ready for collection. If you arrive earlier than your phone call we will not answer the door, this inevitably slows our day down even further so PLEASE just wait for us to call you. 06.01.2022 It is with heavy hearts we tell you scratch and sniffs is closed as you formally knew it. We will no longer trade on follett rd as the owner is currently looking at selling the building and out leases is up. Negotiations have failed to secure another lease so for now we are homeless We have scouts out looking for us in the local area and we should be up and running along side the lock down period.

04.01.2022 Good afternoon S&S family. We have been inundated with phone calls today and are so happy to hear from all of you. As you may have read in my previous post, we are very limited to the amount of pets we can groom per day, this is very likely to change in the coming weeks so just bare with us. We are proceeding with extra caution right now to ease back into a routine, especially while I’m still trying to manage home schooling my children as well. Those that had appointments c...anceled at short notice will be given first option to re book and then we will be working through those that are calling after that. It may take us some time to get back on track but we will get there. Ps if anyone knows how to grow a second set of arms can you pm me the recipe that would be very helpful!!! 04.01.2022 Due to current statements made by daniel Andrews our industry is set to not be able to re open again until October 23rd and this was if our state was on clear case basis. The reality is we would face not opening up until Christmas or after. This, along with extensive overheads and stresses has seen me come to the heart breaking decision not to reopen my business at this time. Rather than baring the burden of the set up cost and not now when I can re open I am going to wait ...till AFTER lock down has finished and well clear before I set up again. Stef and I are grateful for your love and support for so many years and I will continue to keep you updated.
