17.01.2022 We all have created a story about who we are and how we fit into the world, the one we have learnt growing up. Through this story we develop a way of thinking, feeling and acting. The thing is these stories are not always true but it feels familiar. When our story doesn't serve us in creating the life we want to live problems like anxiety, depression and toxic relationships with yourself and others may arise. This is my brother Jason and I, we are about to go out to a birthd...ay party. Everywhere we went we would have a new outfit, we had to look presentable at all times. Our story was how you look is everything. It is the most important rule in life (so we were told). We could not be ourselves, we had to look a certain way, smile and behave 'perfectly'. Everything we ever did was because 'we had to'. We had no choice. Words such as 'I have to', 'I should, 'I must' were all we knew. Others were more important than us and we must put others needs before our own. For you this may show up as: - negetive thinking - not setting boundaries - unhealthy habits - not putting yourself first - poor self care - people pleasing - lack of self trust/self doubt - not living the life you want to live There are many ways we can learn to change our story. I would like you to think of what your story is. Now more than ever, we are creating life stories based on fitting in rather than being our authentic self. This all ties in to your mind/body connection and self care. The first step is so important and crucial to self love and being able to be at peace with yourself - knowing what is going on in the inside to be able to heal yourself. What was your story as a child growing up?

It involves walking very slowly observing all the sounds, smells and sights of nature. Stop, stay still and listen. 12.01.2022 Thanks to those who helped Miss Mazey this last week with our Go Fund Me account and the private donations we received. We have just hit $1,000. We still have a bit to go, but we are both so grateful for the love, visits and calls we have had. Mazey goes up to Sydney Thursday for her CT scan. I have no words right now, just hope my little mate will be okay. Truly grateful for the love and support we have received. Thanks also to those of you who understand. Even though I don't have kids, she is my kid. B x



11.01.2022 Go with your 'gut feeling'. We all have the ability to connect to the intelligence of our mind, heart and gut. Please try not to stifle your instincts, you will be right. Most of our day is on auto pilot. If we stay like this we learn to brush off and push away any feelings we may have and not really put ourselves first. Have you ever gone with your gut feeling on something and you were right? Let me share something with you. For most of my life I have had a 'feeling' about something and guess what?? 99% of the time I was right. Please trust yourself, you do know best.

I think it is important to be able to tune into yourself and become aware of the signs that you are getting out of balance, so you can make shifts to restore your natural equilibrium. Not doing anything and staying unbalanced can lead to burnout. Self care can help you keep your mind and body in balance. The practice of self care is essential. This means making your own health and wellbeing a priority. Some of you may have been conditioned to believe that taking time for yourself is selfish or indulgent, nothing could be further from the truth. If you neglect yourself and become depleted or ill, you won’t be able to fully express your love, creativity, and joy.

Hiding from the camera and spending every moment caring way too much about what others are thinking about you? Maybe you start downing glasses of alcohol to numb the pain, to feel comfortable in your own skin for temporary relief, and to give you the false sense of confidence and security.... Are you holdin...g yourself back from being who you want to be? You try to make changes and try to stick to a diet or exercise plan but nothing seems to stick and before you know it you have put on more weight and feel worse than before. I know how it feels.. I have been there... First of all I want you to know this is common and please stop being so hard on yourself. You need to be ON YOUR OWN SIDE. I would love to help so you can enjoy these events and be present with the people and occasion rather than not being able to enjoy yourself or avoiding the event all together. Yup, been there too! 06.01.2022 CALM YOUR INNER CHATTER If you jump into bed each night and think about the when, where, who, why, what and how of your life and your mind is racing - this is your inner chatter. It’s important to realise that there is nothing wrong with you just because you have a lot of thoughts. It’s part of being human. We need to learn to turn the volume down when we want to. The inner chatter that you experience is a result of the stress of your day. To help calm this inner chatter, me...ditation can help. Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as sitting quietly and focusing on your breathing, or counting your steps as you walk around the house. You can even turn every day activities like taking a shower or washing your clothes into a great meditation. The more you meditate, the more calm and presence you’ll have in your day to day life.
