25.01.2022 Cold morning walk with Senator Marielle Smith and our teams in support of the amazing work of the Hutt St Centre. The Walk a Mile in My Boots event looks a bit different this year - but there’s just as many South Australians across the city joining in and donating. Every dollar counts!

25.01.2022 Congratulations to the Hutt St Centre for another amazing Walk a Mile in My Boots event - in some very difficult circumstances

25.01.2022 Since 2008, the Hutt St Centre Walk a Mile Event has grown and grown. Thousands of South Australians now participate to support the Centre - who continue to deliver life-saving help to those most in need. Together with a number of South Australian Labor offices, my team is chipping in and raising funds. You can donate below!

25.01.2022 Bob Hawke remains the only Australian Prime Minister born in South Australia. It's only fitting that one of our State's Federal seats be named after him

22.01.2022 Australians have a lot to be proud of - including some things that don't get a lot of public attention. Our democracy is protected by our transparent electoral system, and our strong democratic institutions. But, we can never be complacent. We need to protect our electoral process, and strengthen our laws

14.01.2022 Thousands of workers are at risk of being left behind by the Liberal Government’s budget. Our tourism sector is hurting, they need support and they need it now.

13.01.2022 Congratulations Michael Gunner & Territory Labor for securing another 4 years. In the most difficult circumstances, Michael has secured the faith of Territorians to carry them through this pandemic, and into recovery.

11.01.2022 The Liberal Government might think Australians have forgotten about the millions of dollars rorted from grassroots sporting clubs but we certainly haven’t. The Prime Minister needs to come clean on what role he played in the Sports Rorts scandal.

08.01.2022 Today the Senate Select Committee reviewing Australia’s response to COVID-19 is focusing on tourism and its importance to our economy. Tourism operators, businesses, and government agencies, will be giving evidence on the immense effect this pandemic has had on the sector, and the over one million Australians employed in tourist-reliant businesses. Here is just a snapshot of the millions of visitors and billions of dollars that tourism contributes to our economy in a normal y...ear State Tourism Satellite Accounts 2018/2019 - Tourism Research Australia

05.01.2022 South Australia is set to be the only mainland state that doesn't recognise Boxing Day as a Public Holiday - leaving workers without well-deserved penalty rates. The thousands of retail, fast food, and warehouse workers that have seen us through this pandemic deserve more from the Liberal State Government.

05.01.2022 Must have all just been a coincidence

05.01.2022 Congratulations to all the winners at last night's Restaurant & Catering Association Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner. It has been an incredibly challenging year for our food and wine sector. But last night was a fantastic reminder of all the passionate, talented, and dedicated people in the industry - as well as the fact that South Australia has the best food and wine in the world.... 04.01.2022 The Prime Minister can't escape his Sports Rorts scandal. On at least four seperate occasions, the Prime Minister and Treasurer promised to use the budget process to compensate the worthy sporting clubs they snubbed. Except the budget included no funding whatsoever for community sport infrastructure - at a time when grassroots clubs and their volunteers are struggling through restrictions and financial pressure.
