We are so excited to have Mei join us especially as we move back into face to face sessions. Mei loves when a kiddo is having an absolute blast engaging in music whilst achieving their goals! She brings so much musical talent to her sessions as she is a singer-songwriter and a professional musician And we are so lucky to have her as she came to Melbourne on a holiday back in 2017 and she just couldn’t leave :)

21.01.2022 Meet the team Have you met Michael? Michael is one of our incredible therapy assistants working hard behind the scenes! Lucky for us though, he loves helping and being part of our group programs and it turns out to be his favourite part of the job. He loves seeing kiddos laughing and having fun at the expense of him making a fool of himself or being his clumsy self Youre most likely to see him walking around the clinic up to something, with a toy in hand or having a... chat with anyone and everyone! Michael has an odd special skill... he can make a weird noise "or a crack" in nearly every bone in his body But when he is not doing that he is busy going for all the sports teams that everyone despises and always up for a boogie no matter the place and time

Ayans favourite part of what she does is being a part of the fun social skills groups. She loves seeing the children bubbling, joining in the fun games and activities and interacting with their peers Being part of our social skills groups has made coming to work the best part of her week ... When Ayan is not in groups, she is singing and dancing around the clinic because she is secretly just a 5 year old in disguise

19.01.2022 Just because its Telehealth doesnt mean its not fun! OT Caitlin loves making her Telehealth sessions fun and interactive!! The use of bubbles over Telehealth can be really exciting and engaging for all ages. It encourages visual tracking, sustained attention, speech, hearing and language development as well as social and communication skills! If you have bubbles at home, encourage the kids to pop the bubbles with different parts of their body (e.g stomp the bubble with t...heir foot) or provide one bubble at a time on the bubble wand and encourage them to pop it with their pointer finger. This will assist with gross motor movement, balance and muscle tone development as well as fine motor development, hand eye and foot eye coordination, body, spatial and directional awareness. If youre child is old enough, allow your child to begin to practice blowing the bubbles for oral motor skill development. This is a really tricky skill to learn. Jessie is also a lady of many skills and is also a qualified primary school teacher who taught in primary schools for 6 years before becoming a dietitian

Basically just a big kid herself, Grace loves being able to take our kids into the big gym (or used to) and do all things gross motor and sensory, whether its making an obstacle course, hanging upside down or just swinging in the hammock ... When Grace isnt at Sensational Kids, she loves being at the beach, whether its going for cold winter walks or mucking around in the waves during summer

This is such a fun way to get around the community and why not work on all those little fine motor skills while youre at it One of our therapists have set this one up and every now and then a new spoon pops up So when you need to get those kiddos busy, decorate an old spoon (get as creative as you can), go for a walk in the sun and find a spoonsville
